Ways to Wear: Coral Maxi Skirt

#threesomethursday

Since everyone's talking about Sarah Hyland's long coral skirt at the Emmy's, I thought this is the perfect time to do a threesome of this maxi skirt I got on sale at MNG. :)
For a more detailed post of this look, you can click here. :)
I also wore this to my friend's wedding last May. Honestly, I could pass for a bridesmaid! Hahaha!

VS MOD

#threesomethursday

Pardon the courage to juxtapose my photos next to these Victoria's Secret model off-duty (MOD) looks but this post intends to show that we don't need to be a model to be stylish like them :)

#1 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.  Ok, let it be known that I don't have a rock-hard abs like hers.  But cropped tops are all the rage this season and truth be told, I love this trend it sort of motivated me to work on flattening my abs. :P  To wear it modestly, pair it with a high-waist jeans and covered with blazer like I did. :)

#2 Candice Swanepoel.  Red is already a striking color on its own.  But for a longer leg effect like them models, try pairing it with a nude pumps. :)

#3 Lily Aldridge's airpot look.  I actually wore this on my supposed day of flight to Japan only to find out that my visa wouldn't be released that day. Huhu.  But it's all in the past now. :P  For a simple plain white shirt and jeans look, try accessorizing it with some matching hat and boots like Lily did. :)

If you have your own inspired MOD look, sound it off in the comment below. :)

Coordinated Separates

#threesomethursday

Because I slacked on some posts this week, you're in for a treat guys! I'm gonna do a two part #threesomethursday post!!! Howsaboutthat??? Haha!

If you remember sometime ago, I blogged about matching prints here. Considering that the trend is back, I'm happy to do a threesome round of my pseudo-matching sets.  Or shall I call them coordinated separates?  You'll find out why.

Starting with the very same H&M blazer I got two years ago, I found a stripes skirt in Greenhills that exactly matches its print.  This is for gallery #1.

For gallery #2, I got this embellished top from Topshop on sale this year.  Thought it paired well with this old shorts I have from Tomato no? :)

Last gallery, fresh from the oven (worn exactly for today's #ootd lol!).  These unbranded prints which I both got from Greenhills (top from last year and skirt only this year) seemed they're a match made in fashion heaven but the two items are actually of different material.  Kinda reminds me of Beyonce's matching set though. ;)

Considering that the trend is back, I'm happy to embrace it without investing in an actual new set.  How awesome is that??? Yaaaay! Hahaha!!!

The Lace Pencil Skirt

#threesomethursday

One of my favorites - a lace skirt I got from Topshop. 50% off! :))

A.  Toned Down with a Tee.  My brother's V-neck tee to be specific.  One of those days where I just felt like toning it down.  Accessorized with this rosette necklace I got from Bangkok.

B.  Color-blocked with a scalloped top.  IT's one of my favorite color-blocking top! Added a cobalt blazer slung over the shoulders for some oomph! ;)

C.  Super formal with Lace on Lace. I don' know but for me it's important to start a working Monday right.  So I kind of made an effort to finally wear this combo I thought about months ago.  This is actually a lace dress from Mango (see Instagram: cassey_cakes).  I was satisfied with the effect. :)

Tie-Knot Denim

#threesomethursday

In my other blog, I just made a post about a chambray tie-knot but this one's a threesome take from a top of the same family - denim. :)  Here are the three ways I styled this unbranded top I got from one of the stores in Greenhills. =)

Ways to Wear: Pink & Red

#threesomethursday

This post is inspired by the recently held MET Gala where Emma Stone schooled us on the rules of wearing pink.  Last Tuesday's workwear is somewhat a take on her Thakoon pink/fuchsia gown.

Then I just had to remember how I made the pink and red combo in the past.  Here are the other 2 below. :)  Sometime June last year....

And a very recent one.  Last month at Cafe Juanita,

You can also click on my other blog for the solo feature of the first pic. :)

Tucked-in!

#threesomethursday

One day I woke up and realized that a blush vest need not be tucked out all the time and came up with three styles to prove it.... :P

The Thigh-high Effect! :)

#threesomethursday

34-degree weather and wearing these at work.  What on earth possessed me to this?  Haha!!!  Needless to say I enjoyed so much dressing up this trend in Osaka's 14 to 19 degree weather that I ended up bringing the thing to Manila right after my vacay.

Truth be told though, if money were no object and if it is just so practical to use here in PH, I would love to replace this look with Stuart Weitzman's thigh-high boots!  They're utter perfection! Haha!  But for the meantime, this would do.  Wore these for 3 straight days to work last week and I've got to say the last one is my favorite! <3 font="" nbsp="">

The fake glasses (without lens!!!) were from Shinsaibashi market in Osaka! =)

Sporty Chic!

#threesomethursday

Haven't you heard?  Sporty staples are in! :P  I never really considered myself a casual sporty type of dresser but there's just something about these New Balance sneaks that made me rethink about my wardrobe to work around it. ;)  Here are the three ways I styled swaaaggged it. =)

A. Sweatshirts and a PVC mini skirt! :)

B.  Kicking out the black pumps in favor of the sneakers.  Why not? :P

C.  Ah.  The waist-tied trend.  :)

I hope this post somewhat inspired you to take you sneakers outside of the gym.  You can order your New Balance A420 sneakers too at Zalora and get a discount using this code: ZBAPgz4.  Happy shopping! :)

Layered Fluted Dress

#threesomethursday

I got this fluted dress from Dorothy Perkins on sale. I wouldn't resist it for 50% half the price, the only catch is that it's a notch bigger than my usual size in that store.  This actually turned out to be an advantage as I discovered that this dress is good for layering. :)

Gallery A.  Schoolgirl look with a crisp white buttondown and Chucks!

Gallery B.  Playful look using another dress underneath and capitalizing on the peter pan collar with colorful accessories. :)

Gallery C.  This one's another schoolgirl look but using my very versatile chambray buttondown and the conductor cap. :)  You may have remembered the full body look here. :)

Tube Dress

#threesomethursday

How about a little #throwback post of this dress? It was purposely purchased and worn for a Samsung event before. :)

Aaah 2008.  Fatty days! :P

Now here are the three looks I managed to pull off using that tube dress from Mango by layering laces underneath.

This gallery shows a Zara lace top...

This one's a Topshop mesh long-sleeve top...

And this last one is actually a Warehouse lace dress. Another throwback from way back 2009. :)

Black & Gold Scarf!

#threesomethursday

I had always wanted to have a black and gold print scarf.  I think it looks really classy.  So I was so happy when I finally found this last piece in  H&M shop in Dubai Mall last December!  Btw, aren't you guys excited that the brand is coming to Philippines? Yay!  But at the same time I'm gonna miss the racing heartbeat and spring in my steps whenever I locate a branch outside the country. :P  Anyway, when I got it I thought that it'd be the perfect headcover when I visit the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque coz I was really going after Riri's look that time.  And you know what happened?

We were so in a hurry I simply left it in the trunk of Kervin's car.  Idiot! :))  Anyway, here's the scarf I'm talking about in three different uses.

a.  Head scarf ala Jackie O. ;-)

b.  Makeshift LBD sleeve ;-)

c.  Tote accessory ;-)

I'm still racking my brains for other use of it.  I've got another one already so it's most likely a part 2 will be posted soon! ;-)

Mini Flute

#threesomethursday

It was quite a challenge mixing up this skirt what with its unusual color but I found it better matched with printed tops. Here's a compilation of how I worked on this mini flute skirt I got on sale from Topshop. :)

Snakeskin

Floral

Polka Dots

Have a fab weekend! :)
