Lem's Perfect Date

Perfect!! I love this latest TV commercial of my brother with one of the most beautiful and talented actress of this generation, Angel Locsin. J This is the project I told you I was so excited about.  Haha!!  Angel's sooooo pretty, that goofy face of Lem at 0:40 mark should just be effortless!!!  Hahaha!!!

The reactions I got from her solid fans in Twitter are so heartwarming, they seem to love her so much.  And most of the comments in Youtube says that she really is like the "cowboy" girl in the video below in real life.  Here's the TVC, hope you like it too. J

Here's a sample photo behind the scene. J

Dan Vs Zombies!

Do you want a Macbook air??  Well, here's your chance to win one simply by playing Dan vs Zombies in Smart homepage here.

It's easy-peasy.  Just help Dan escape from the zombies.  This promo runs until June 30.  What's in it for me??  Haha, wala lang.  You just might see a very familiar Dan in there. ;-)

My brother is the latest face for Smart Bro Power Plug It and I can't find any clip of the new TV commercial in Youtube.  Hehe.  Here's a behind the scene shot from the game above.

I've NEVER. EVER. played Plants vs Zombies.  Haha!  There was a time when it was a topic for most of the tweets and status updates in FB but I never bothered to be "in".  Not that I don't like it, I just don't wanna get addicted to playing it coz it's time-consuming. :-p  There was even one time, I tweeted about this before, I was watching my brother play the game and I was curious why the chomper hasn't eaten the zombie yet.  So I inquired,

Me (in a panic mode): O, bakit hindi pa kinakain ng chomper yung zombie?
Lem: Nagmamadali ka?  May taxi sa labas? Shempre hindi pa pwede dina-digest pa niya yung isa.

Toinks!  Hahaha!!!  So it turns out, it can't eat two at a time it still has to digest the first zombie.  I'm so ignorant.  Hahaha!!

I hope you enjoy the game above and recommend it to your friends in FB.  Erm, nevermind the voice over, that's not his.  Just saying coz I hate it. :-p

Today, a fanpage was created for him in FB and I was curious as to who was responsible for it.  I texted him to ask but he said he doesn't know also, just told me to "like" it.  I wanna know because if there is someone who has the complete multimedia files of all his projects, that would have to be me.  Hahaha!!  Someone's taking my job over.  LOL!

I know there are some people who have a "high standards" when it comes to liking, but if you just feel like visiting and giving it a thumbs up, you can click it here.

And while you're at it, if you enjoy reading this blog, you can also click on the like button below. :)  Muchos gracias. :)

CHASSIS

Hey guys!!  If your sked is open on Wednesday December 8, I invite you to go and see Chassis.

Synopsis:
Nora lives illegally under the chassis of container vans in Pier 16 with her daughter Sarah. Her husband, Lando, is a trailer van driver who travels from province to province to deliver goods. Everyday, they scramble up and transfer from one chassis to the other to avoid getting caught by guards. At night, she helps Sarah with the child’s homework under the lamp posts as she wants a better life for her child. Unknown to Lando, to help augment their income, Sarah also prostitutes herself to the men in the pier area. We follow Nora as she goes through a routinary life until a tragedy changes everything. How far will a mother go for her child’s welfare?

Okay, I thought we really have a Tagalog cha-sis word and that it meant those nets that were being set-up under the trucks in Pier like the one shown below.  I've seen this since we live quite near the area.  I was wrong.  I looked it up and it refers to the frame of the truck itself or any automobile.  Therefore it's wrong to be pronounced as chassis with an S in the end because it's supposed to be silent.  :P  I guess there are always new things to learn everyday.  :P

I was highly anticipating this film because of its plot and it's my brother's third indie.  He played the role of Lando.  Mama and I (oh and my dog Betty too :p) even had the chance to see the shoot when we went to the location one Sunday.  We met the casts and the director while they were having a lunchbreak.  Mama even had some photo-ops with the main star Jodi Sta. Maria.  Haha!!  She's soooo pretty. :)  Even if she had to look very plain and ordinary because of the role.  I remember Lem having a hard time finding some worn-out shirts to wear and his feet very black with charcoal just to portray the character.  :P

It was rather unfortunate that the movie will not have a premiere night. I was sooooo ready with a dress.  Hahaha!!! =))  Well it was because the film was more intended for international screenings and it has already made its way in Pusan International Film Festival 2010 which was held last month.  Lem had the chance to go to Korea.  Sooo jealous!  Hahaha!!!  Here are some of their shots:

Jodi and Lem

And this is yet another funny picture, Lem pretending it's him the fans were screaming for outside the film festival.  WAHAHA!!!

Mark the date, it's December 8! :)  You may watch the full trailer below,

Lem for STI

You know me guys, I like leaving you guys a bit hanging, take for example my pending BKK travelogue. Haha! But this has been aired for a while now, I'd just like to share my brother's new endorsement - STI. :P

Oh why it's June - time for enrollment already??? ;)

Unlike his Master Eskinol one-time and unrecognizable billboard, I like that this endorsement had given him more exposures - err, namely on buses and waiting sheds. :))

There. Just sharing. I really like the face of that girl that plays the nursing student. Sooo pretty. :)
I'll resume writing my travelogue next week, it's just so hard to think when some negative things are happening around you right?? But still I'm thankful this week was punctuated in a sort-of-happy way. :) I don't think I'll ever blog about the whole saga in one sitting. Though I feel like I won't be able to resist giving you some hints bit by bit in my future posts. I'll just probably write a book about it and when I do, I'll make sure it gets published! Haha! Hope your weekend plan all goes well. ;)
Can't hold us down! \m/

Boy Candies' Premiere Night =)

Must take a travelogue break for now to cover the very fresh premiere night I attended earlier for D'Survivors! I thought it's gonna be shown on Wednesday so with me just getting back last night from BKK (oh, I'm so excited to share my experience ;), you can say I've one quite hectic sked. :P

Same as before, the venue was at SM Mega Cinema1. I was thankful for the ever supportive friends of mine who came to see the film: Cathy, Jates, Philip, Jasper & Aryan. :) With me doing my bro's make-up and helping him find a fedora for his get-up around 7PM, we arrived quite late at the place to find the cinema with a long queue of moviegoers already. So what to do while waiting? PICS!!!

with JT, I'm wearing my MNG current fave dress :)

Lem & Cathy :)
Well thankfully, Lem informed us that we can be prioritized to enter the cinema ahead of the others because of the stamp in our tickets. Whew!

And here's a pic of the 3 boy candies of the film. Hihihi.

On the way to the mall, my brother was updating me on how he was misquoted with his interview for TV Patrol last week while I was away when asked if he is being threatened by the invasion of Brazilian models in PH. Well, I already mentioned about this long long ago in my post entitled Raket (which sadly I don't have that much time for now to look for and hyperlink). I stand by my brother's side when he said yes but let me clear that he didn't mean it bad for the persons in question. He is in good terms with Daniel, Fabio and Aki above.
So good that after the movie, he even introduced me one by one to them. Ayeeeeeee!!!! Moment of moments!! Hahahaha!!! I kind of thought he let me down when after the intro, he helped me uhmm get a photo with them. Bwahaha!! But the thing is, it was good coz I got handshakes and not to mention besos!!! Mwah, mwah, mwah!! Hahaha!!! :)

aww, so sweet!! we're so bagay! hahaha!!!!

me with daniel & aki
Then you haven't met Aryan yet. :) I met her during our Sagada adventure with Lisa. Yey! =) Then Justine. Sigh, even with my pretty dress on, I still look a frump besider her. Don't I? Haha!! :))
Then had a quick dinner at Peri Peri GH after the movie. :)

I'll have one more post about India, then proceed with BKK adventures!! Weeeeeee!!! :)

D'Survivors

Probably you'll understand why I'm soooooooooooo excited in Lem's next indie after seeing photos below:

Not enough to convince you??? How about this????

IT'S AN EYE CANDY INDIE FILM!!! Two of the cutest Brazilian-Japanese models I'm crushing on (Daniel M & Fabio I) combined in one film - IN ALL THEIR SHIRTLESS GLORY!! That's just too much to handle!! Hahahaha!!!! :)) I'm excited on the premiere! Good thing I'm already back by that time. Wahaha!!
This is no wonder the ultimate summer movie for April! Hihihi. You can watch the teaser below:

MAJOR LAUGHTRIP, isn't it! Haha!! Please support this film! Bwahaha!!! :))

Romeo at Juliet - Premiere Night

Unlike our Cop-out experience, this makes for a real premiere night: red carpet, celebrity presence, cocktail party, media interviews, camera flashes and everything that comes along with it. And in my dressed-up state, I'm not in the mood to capture it all. :P

We left the house almost 6:30 expecting to be late at the cocktail party scheduled at 7 PM. Victor Basa wasn't there yet when the film started. Alex mostly handled the interviews.

Once everybody's ensconced in their designated seats inside the cinema, the actors and directors were asked to say a little something about the film prior to showing it. Being the mildly OC to anything English that I am, I was partly nervous when it was already Lem's turn to speak. :P But was greatly relieved coz he did just fine and moreover, was flattered when he thanked me and my brother's presence. Awwwwwwww.... I love my brother. But it would have been better if he mentioned my name you know and not just saying "mga kapatid ko." Hahaha!!! Just kidding. ;-)

Sorry, that's just all my raffle-worthy digicam captured from our seat in the upper rows.
Alright, it's my 1st indie experience. And has just been officially scandalized to my brother's character in the movie. Hahaha!!! I'd still very much like him to portray the good role types just like his eponymous character in Daisy Siyete's Bebe & Me. How I wish it is always possible. I think he'll fare well in those. Just saying.
This is the precise reason why we didn't invite our folks over. I don't think our Mama's prepared to be assaulted. Haha! Our family's way too conservative for that. 10 mins after we left the house, Lem received this text from our Tita expressing "tampo" sentiments that they wanna come too. Obviously, Mom called up on her to sulk. :P
After the film around 930 which was when hunger pangs were beginning to strike for missing dinner (I only took a few bites during the pre-showing party), I had to endure the pain for about one hour more due to the public demands for a piece of Lem. (Note to self: This is just one of those things one has to suffer through from being such a stage sister. Wahaha!!!) Which I really don't mind coz it gave me ample time to notice Mr. Lonely Guy, err I mean bond with bro's gf/girlcrush/new friend Justin. Haha!!

When picture taking and interviews are finally over, the four of us headed to Makati Av for a simple dinner. Lem's treat!! Yey!!! Hahaha!!!
I. CAN'T. WAIT. FOR. HIS. NEXT. INDIE!! Hihihi.. You'll find out why. SOON.
Meanwhile, I'd like to thank my friend Brian for coming over. I invited a lot of friends but it was really a wrong timing for everyone - because last week was such a horrific week for everyone if you noticed the slowdown in my updates. It was actually a miracle I only posted ONE entry. Haha!
Last week commenced with a friend major berak-up which meant that while I was busy dealing with a "problem" with the customer through whole day troubleshooting, I had to divide my sked sometime after to console both parties (which was really hard if you're good friends with both you know) then followed by the death of a friend's relative and punctuated some bad news from another friend about her upcoming surgery. Whatever was wrong with that week???????
