Bermuda Shorts

#threewaythursday

Ain't nothing getting you more excited in buying than finding an item on sale - and that an XS in Zara suits you. Extra Small!!!! Lol. Plus, I saw Olivia Palermo sport this bermudas too. Check out the three ways I wore it. (In all green tops, I know! )

If you have time, please check out a little history and fashion post I worked on in my other blog too. :)

Borrowed from the Boys

#threesomethursday

"Despite her claim to an overflowing wardrobe, she had to go and borrow her brother's vest today."

That's how I captioned this post sometime early this year.  For today, I'm collating my "borrowed-from-my-brother" #ootd posts.  Haha!

The vest from Lem below perfectly matches that Freeway wide-legged trousers of mine.  In the picture it fits well but actually it's a bit loose but I like how I paired it. :)

Zara white tank top and bag; Cotton On wedges; MNG aviators

I really need a plain gray shirt badly.  But I can't find something that has that loose feel.  Luckily for me, I found this Topman shirt in his wardrobe.  I love the comments from some guys in my FB.  One of them mentioned about wanting him to see me like this "if ever" we're going out on a date.  Wow, some guys really like simple outfits for women.  Maybe it's the reason why I am still single.  LOL!

MNG boyfriend jeans; MNG aviators; Fossil men's watch and M&S snakeprint shoes

This top is something I've been borrowing from Lem since forever!  I've used it quite a lot of time it already qualifies for a separate #threesomethursday post.  Haha!  I like the chambray print and again the loose factor.  This is taken in Ayala Triangle while doing a field work pre- (and there's that word again) birthday weekend! LOL! :D

Topshop skirt;  Dorothy Perkins belt; Luxury Mall booties and Charlie sunnies
I hope you enjoyed this borrowed from the boys post.  Excited for the Rihanna concert tonight! =)

F21 Two-tone Vest

#threesomethursday

For today's hashtag, I'll be posting about my current favorite vest.  So what's the story behind this two-tone vest?  Uhmmm, except for it being promoted as my current favorite vest, no NOTHING at all. Lol!  I got it at Forever21 and that's it.  Haha!!

I bought it because it looks edgy and yeah expensive (well yeah for a vest it's a bit costly) but the thing is my mind was already working overtime on the millions of ways (yeah I'm exaggerating) I could dress it up.  As a matter of fact, this threesome post isn't enough for it I might just do a part two! :P

But after wearing for the first time, I was set to find out the downside of this vest.  The instruction said it can't be hand/machine-washed. :(  For something that I can totally visualize wearing often, this is just too sad.  I can't imagine going to a laundry shop and spending more for it to be cleaned.  And so I set a challenge to myself last Sunday to personally wash it, haha!!!  You can just imagine how I was nervous while doing the cleaning and how delicately I handled it.  But I believe I was successful.  The fabric's texture and feel was still the same after a few hours of hanging it to dry.  And that's the end of the story for me.  Sorry for this nonsense.  Haha!!!

And now for the threesome part.....

#1 Layered with a lace dress...

Mango lace dress and squared sunnies; Charles 'n Keith shoes, Zara bag

#2 TColor trio: black, white and yellow

Thrifted yellow tank top; Prima Donna clutch; Mango high-waisted/ wide-legged trousers; Cotton On wedges/ Aldo cats-eye frames

#3 Leather-ized

Thrifted skin tone tank top; A-shaped leather skirt from H&M and Zara pumps;
Sunnies by Charlie

Obviously, the third one wasn't worn to work yet.  As you can see this is one of those dress and shoot rehearsals. :P  I'm still on the schedule of my usual clothes-rotating sked. :P  But I can't wait for this to be paired with all the other bottoms and dressed I can think of.  Like I said, a round two may just be around the corner. Hihi.  Until the next threesome post! ;-)

Matchy Matchy

#fabfriday

Sometime last February, I posted something about matching prints.  Back then I knew that however chic it looked, it was too much for a statement and perhaps a bit intimidating. :P

A month after (during a Singapore trip), I chanced upon this H&M striped blazer from their newest branch in Ion mall.  I was supposed to be shopping on a budget. Riiiiggghhht.  But seeing my brother maniacally picking clothes around (it was his H&M induction and yeah I could totally understand the effect on him, lol!) didn't help at all.  Besides, this is H&M.  Meaning, if I didn't buy it I would regret if it haunted me a couple of days after back home since I'd have to ask some friends from SG or HK to buy it for me and have it shipped.  Which would mean more cost right?  Oh gosh, these justifications are soooo like Becky Bloomwood.  No this is not KC speaking.  Hahaha!!

When I had some time recently to do some "outfit rehearsal", I found these Zara shorts buried underneath my bottoms stack and voila!  For some spontaneous mix 'n match practices like this, I could only think of that line from a famous song "Who'd have thought, this is how the pieces fit?"  It looks like they were really made together!!! :D

Because the print pattern is not that loud, I have totally envisioned wearing this for a dress-down Friday at work if not only for this BIG bad bruise I got on my right leg which I don't know where I got it from. :(  I'm telling you it is an island of purple, red and black on the side of my right thigh.  Perhaps it was from the open water scuba certification two weeks ago where we entered this small hole of corals underwater but I'm not quite certain.

Anyway.  The sailor shorts are like from two years ago (I wore it in my Marina Bay Sands staycation here).  Shoes are the perfect nude pumps (atleast for me) from Marks n Spencer and some round Sunnies by Charlie for some "It-girl" feel.  It-girl??? Say what???? Hahaha!!!

I think that the blazer would also look good with some conductor cap I got from the same store too.  But that's for a different story. :P

How are you spending your weekend?  I can't wait to go back scuba diving again but as much as I love to be in the beach or anywhere else I also treasure some "normal" relaxing Saturday and Sunday.  Haha!  Wishing you all a fab weekend! ;-)
