SG 5 Highlights

a. These are the foods I always look forward to when coming to SG: Q Bread’s Coffee Bun (why don’t they have this in Phils? :( ), fried prawn noodle, mee hon kuay, wintermelon tea, hot milk tea and chili crab. YUMMY! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to taste the last one because our choices of restau had to depend on our trainer who’s a vegetarian Indian. * sigh * Maybe next time. :( I also enjoy riding the taxis here: the Mercedes (wahaha!) and just plainly feeling safe inside. On my arrival, I almost forgot that I didn't have to lock all doors of the cab. I'm in Singapore! :P

b. The training was very intensive. Err, can I say it was BLOODY?? Haha!! For the 1st 3 days we had our lunch delivered in the office to save time and we finish late at night (8 PM). For dinners, we were able to tour outside but it was just quick as we have to go back to the hotel to take care of work. Yep, that pretty much was our week. :P Tough isn’t it? ;)

c. Dinners: Pan Gat (authentic Indian cuisine) @ Suntec City for Day 1, Food Republic @ Vivo City for Day 2. After dinner we had some delicious toasts @ Toast Box and some refreshing view of the sea. :P Some breather I must say, haha!! Day 3 was something special, Joanne treated us to La Nonna Italian restau in Holland Ave and some ice cream in Cold Rock. :) Last day, we had a buffet in Carousel restau in Scotts Road, Orchard with the whole Telco team. See? I was able to visit all 3 big malls during the weekdays. Hahaha!! But no shopping. :(

d. Kindness. I’m so touched. I was waiting for Joy in their flat in Sembawang Friday night for about half an hour already when their neighbor opposite them noticed me and asked me to get inside. Wala lang, for me that was just so so kind of her. Letting a stranger enter your home and treat her nicely – it doesn’t happen everyday right? Not only that, she served me some Indian food and she can’t believe how I know so much of the cuisine. Haha!! You should’ve seen me – I was like a student reporting to her how I know and love their food so much. :P
e. JJJOOOOYYYY!! Just being with her. :) She's a bit pre-occupied and kind of stressed out these days. Friday night, would you believe that we watched You Changed My Life in her laptop. Hahaha!! It was a very good movie, it's such a shame I had to watch it that way. With uhmm you know, those standing persons visible in the screen and hearing also those laughter inside the cinema. WAHAHA!! Okay, some quick observation on the film. It was amazing how I can say right out that what Sarah tried to do was a screaming capital, bold and underline SSSTTTTUUUPPPPIIIIDDDD ( as in katangahan to the highest level) whereas before we were just the same person eschewing the same line of thinking. Tsk! This one struck a chord. Aylavet!

Since we had quite an emotional night (hahaha!!), we woke up late the next day. At night though we visited Orchard and they were having this A Shoe and Bag affair in Takashimaya. Hmm, I wasn’t able to bag anything though. However, I took note of some dresses in DP and WH and decided to just wait for them in Phils. I just noticed that the prices there went up a bit, I don’t know why.

A Shoe and Bag Affair in Takashimaya

Madonna for LV! Lahvet!

Photoshoot!! Wahaha!!

With all the eating, I must really get back to shape. I hate how I pant this morning doing my regular exercise. Tsk! Whole album in Multiply soon!

No More Tears

Why am I LSS-ing this?? Coz I just viewed the lyrics for myself early this week and found that:

1. Perfect state of my lovelife right now. Ask no more.
2. It's soooooooooooooo gay!! Lovesit!! Haha! By now, I hope you all know that I'm such a gay trapped in a woman's body. Hahaha!! I kid, I kid. :P Watch Donna Summer's antics below. :D
3. Remembered that I dance to this song in the gym. Love the steps!! Which made me miss the launch of the new release of Body Jam tonight in GH. :(
4. It's a perfect karaoke song! I would love to do a duet of this with Joyee!! Haha!! We'll be able to do it only in Pinas. Believe it or not, haven't met her here yet. :(

I practically listened to every version of it in Youtube. I like this one best by Donna Summer and Tina Arena. Enjoy! :D

This is all I can afford for now. I've got work to do, review for training exercises tomorrow :,(, pack my things etc. etc. This week has been so unbelievably busy. Tsk! Last week in wardrobe planning what took me so long to worry was the night outfits. You know, for walking out to Clarke Quay maybe or somewhere but BOY! I haven't used a single iota of the things I packed. Haha!!

I'll just tell more stories next week. :) Hurrah for last day of training! Hahaha!!!

Shades of Purple

Lovin' all things in this shade, lately:

Bag. Can't resist when I found this one in GH. Tsk!

Shoes. The gladiators I've never worn. EVER!! Tsk!

Accessories. Well, Aldo may have failed me when it comes to shoes-es. But I'm loving their accessories. Aside from this headband below, this shop's fully equipping me with all my Carrie-related madness. Hello, feather clips! :P And I've just established what I want to do for a photoshoot, something ala-Audrey Hepburn. Duh, what are my LBDs for?? :P

Lastly, the dress that made me fall in love for it at the first sight! Hahaha!!

Aaaaaayyyyyyyyllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttt!!!!

I feel like a princess in that dress!! Thanks Mango, thanks! :) OMG, I didn't realize how fun a photoshoot was until I've done that one above thru the help of my brother's Sony tripod!!

Wil, I'm ready!! Get the bestest SLR you'll ever have for September. I won't question your splurges!! Hahaha!! Lisa girl, I'm ready too. Take your photog classes seriously and I'll be preparing all my dresses. Hahahaha!! Shoot me guys, shoot me now!! Wahaha!!!

Visiting Merlion

Messy is already the constant description of my room each day. You can ask Lisa and Joy about that. But during wardrobe rehearsals for trips abroad, I don’t think I could come up with a term anymore. Maybe if you watched that Shopaholic movie wherein Becky kept all her clothes in deflatable plastics in her wardrobe to hide from Suze but the latter discovered it, opened the shelf and then suddenly clothes came flying everywhere. Yeah, I think that’s better. LOL!! You see there’s messy and then there’s my room. :P

Gosh, can’t believe my flight is already on Sunday and I. HAVEN’T. FINALIZED. MY. WARDROBE. YET. Uugh!! Been trying to finish things for work lately so I can concentrate on what’s up for me next week that I haven’t found some time yet to pen my per day outfits in my mini notebook. Yup, I do that. And what a relief to find out that I’m not alone in that habit. :) I saw the same from Raine’s organizer last time when I was still with Samsung. :) Well let’s just say it’s a must for professional fashionistas like us. Hahaha!!!

Again, nothing new in my wardrobe. A LIE. Haha!! Okay there’s one. And I’m really really so so excited to wear this dress below. The saleslady’s been insisting that I try it on and I thought I was already successful last Monday when I didn’t cave in. The dress haunted me back at home and what the heck; I tried it yesterday and saw this in the mirror!

MY OH MY!! What a fit!! The gray dress I got from this same store which I declared as my favorite (but has just been worn once if you must know :P) has already found a replacement. Hahaha!! Look at that curve. :P Angela and I spent an oodle of time yesterday arguing what’s responsible for that. Of course, don’t be fooled. It’s the illusion of the dress. :P Hahaha!!

I'll also be bringing a favorite accessory. And here's to wishing that this would already be my last obsession to the character of Carrie Bradshaw of SATC. It's her personalized necklace. But of course mine has my name in it. :) Our firstnames really don't differ that much right? :P

Remember when she thought she lost it in Paris, but then found it again which was the sign on the return of her true love, Mr. Big. Aaaah!! Well, I wouldn't wish loosing it but I can hope for the other one right?? Yeah, dream on! Haha!!

And since it's been a long while since I posted anything about clothes here, I'm a leave you with this one yesterday. My latest favorite color combination. :)

I'll still be posting next week. TGIF! :)

Mr. Swwwaaaaaaaabbbbbeeee ;))

hi there!was browsing thru and i saw you and uhm i was wondering if i could add you?sorry to be straightforward..but i'd really rather do this in person...u know like meet you ...ask for your name , get to know you (which i'd like to actually) but this where i saw you, facebook, guess this will have to do...i really don't do this here obviously..and you can't blame a guy for trying :-)

After reading it I was like WO, WO, WO!! Hold it right there Mister. I have to recall from what movie did I hear this. Hmmmmmmm???? Hahaha!!

Uyy guys, let’s not make fun of the guy’s efforts naman. :P But then again, imagine, he's just requesting to be added to my friends list. Why the blagedi blagedi blah??

So okay setting aside the fact that (a) he is a conio – people who always speak in English, which I don’t like, and (b) he’s not that really attractive, I gave it a thought. I mean, in fairness, the guy has a point. It’s in this context – but this is where I saw you. SNS has already become one of the places to meet people and like he said you can’t blame a guy for trying. Who knows the approach might be different if we had met in person?? But I doubt it’ll happen. After all, it's just my profile pic that deceived him. Hahaha!! Even with the “hitting me as off” feeling in me, I left it in my inbox for girlfriend consultations. Mental pat for me in the back for not being so picky at the onset. Hahaha!!

2 days after in Facebook, I once again came across his message and decided to click on his profile. Actually, his full name quite rings a bell. I was just very busy the past few weeks to remember but I’m sure I’ve heard of it from somewhere. Until I saw this “common friend” feature (facebook, thumbs up to you on this!) and VOILA!! The decision instantly became a no-brainer.

You see, this guy might be really good in journalism and he “MIGHT”, just might, blow me away in a conversation in person but there’s one thing he’s forgetting, it’s what this thing called “Investigative Social Networking”. WO-HO-HO!! Hold it right there Miss! How the hell did you come up with that?? That I don’t know. Hahaha!! But trust me, I’m the expert on that. It’s what I do whenever I see an interesting guy and want to find out information about him. :P Just exactly how can this guy escape the fact that the “friend” that links us is a girl he once dated?? And we’re not talking about a date here that transpired eons ago. It’s something very very recent. As in just last month if I’m not mistaken??

Okay, I may not have all the details as to what happened from the date. I was just updated through her blog and even if we caught up yesterday over donuts the fact that she didn’t elaborate on it is already a sign for me to back off. I can’t help but recall this scene in SATC where Miranda met a guy who also happened to date Carrie way way back. The best friends almost had a quarrel about it when Carrie insisted that once a jerk is always a jerk but Miranda finding him the opposite continued on a second date until she proved it for herself in the end. Disaster!!

I don’t have to waste any effort giving benefit of the doubts to this guy. Decision is final and irrevocable. Hahaha!! I trust my friend’s POV and let’s not forget my first instinct. Hehe. That message can now go straight to deleted items and I posted it here if you guys want to try the lines and see if it works for yourself. Wahaha!! As for me and my girlfriend?? We’ll all just share a laugh about it if we encounter it again in our future convos. Like what she said, of all my stories to her yesterday, absolutely nothing beats those lines she heard from him. PANALO (Winner!) - according to her. Jai-ho!! * clap clap clap * Hahaha!! =))

And More Jumpshots

Oooopsie, someone's getting addicted to jumpshots. Hahaha!!

In the water, in all fairness this is rather painful!! Haha!!

So we did it in the sand whilst capturing the sunset,

But I love this best..ala Charlie's Angels according to Wil. :P Or should I say Bong's Angels? Haha!!

Day 2:
I received a lot of comments saying I jump very high. You can say I mastered it already thank you very much. Hahahaha!!
This time without Xiela since she pretty much ruins all the jumpshot pics (hahaha, just kidding XIe :P). She took this one below. Actually it's because she's Dolph's number one cynic and thinks she can take the jumpshots better. Hahaha!! :))

And even underwater?????????? This is from the reef walking activity the video of which I shared in previous post found below.

Catch all the fun in the album I posted HERE. :)

Reef Walking

I got bitten by a fish. And that pretty much is the highlight of this entire 7-minute video. Haha!! You know why?? This is not audio-sweetened coz I don’t have that much time to put some music into it so all the while you’ll just hear the sound of the water but come the 7:04 mark, you’ll hear a scream coming from yours truly. Hehe. Which is just a normal reaction of course considering you’re 12 – 18 ft under water treading in an unknown territory and suddenly felt a sting somewhere in your right thigh! What? Does it taste like bread?? Hmmmmm..Hahaha!! Heck I don’t even know what kind of fishes were in there (coz I’m not into them) but the experience of feeding them was rather fun. :)

I have always wanted to do scuba diving but was not able to do so because of the cost. I thought this would be a very good substitute but I was wrong. It was kind of hard moving with that 20 kg headgear that makes you look like an astronaut (hehe) plus what you see from the glass is not the actual distance of the object from you. You will notice in the video that I’ve attempted many times to touch some fish but failed to do so. It’s still different when you can actually swim into the deeper part of the ocean and have more freedom to explore the beauty underneath. Someday I will, someday. Hehe.

Please don’t also laugh at Randolph at 1:49 mark where he looked as though he’s begging for the bevy of fish to come near him. Hahaha!! It must be his shirt. Haha!! Which brings me to say that someone needs a tummy tuck or probably more Hip Hop Abs workout. Haha!! I will work on it. Tsk!

Kudos also to Bong (4:12 mark) who’s responsible for all the wonderful photos and video. :) That’s so unselfish of him just happy taking shots of others. Unlike me who's such a camwhore (2:30 mark) asking for photos all the time. Hahaha!! Enjoy the video below:

Hope I'll feel better tomorrow. I'm having a very bad case of stomach pain and fever combined. :(

This Is SO Much Fun!! (Bora Day 1)

Ali suddenly blurted out those words while we were aboard the mini van that would take us to our lodging in Boracay in the midst of our group conversation. It sent us all out into laughter. Haha!! It’s just Ali and him saying those words. Just LOL-tastic!! Haha!!

But it’s true. Just an hour only of being with them in the new NAIA3 (my first time!!) had already made my jaw and tummy ache due to so much fun! Well it’s been a while since we all went out together; there were lots of stories and everything. It’s a good thing coz the mood was so jovial we didn’t so much mind the fact that the flight that would take us to Kalibo airport was VUH-RY late. :P

Take for example one of the stories I gathered while waiting on how most of us appeared to have taken this vacation for granted. I for example slept without an alarm the Friday before coz I only intended to sleep for an hour when I arrived home [meaning I slept without doing my night routine (oh the skin pores, tsk!) and didn’t finish packing] and luckily bolted up from bed around 5 AM for no reason. You know how usually my Saturday mornings are and I’m thankful for whatever it is that awaken me coz if not for that, it’s almost certain that I will miss the flight. Like, goodbye 10k!! Randolph wasn’t aware a week before that last Saturday was already the schedule of our vacay and Bong came from a drinking session Friday night. See?? It looked like none of us were really interested in going. Haha!! Oh and add to that the fact that I didn’t bring any valid IDs during the trip I just luckily escaped all the inspection points. Wahaha!!

But we REALLY really enjoyed our stay. Matter of fact we’re already planning on when and where to go the next time. I’m just gonna cut this one short due to a LIST of things to do for work but I’m gonna leave ya with some of the nice pics we had en route Kalibo.

Weee!! Someone's very happpppeeeeeee!!!

ME, Joan, Ali, Xiela & Dolph

But if you really wanna know how Bora is, well

Sand's still white:

Beach is perfect!!

With a lovely sunset:

But with a so-so night life as compared to Puerto Galera?? (This weekend only maybe?? Hmmm....)

I'm loving that new pose above (aside from the jumpshots of course, hehe). Which brings me to say that someone has found a new hobby!! Haha!! 4th and 5th and last pic above are courtesy of Randolph's brand-spanking new SLR. Yihee!! Which always works to my advantage of course. Hahaha!! :))

Stay tuned for day 2 activities! ;)

Taktak!!

Wanna know the latest craze in our family? It’s this.

Haha! Blame the term to our housekeeper. You know what sometimes, we think she’s got loose screws on her head but funny when she comes up with these terms that instantly become a household term. So if you hear taktak in our house, it means the living room will be occupied because of these workout videos. Hehe.

Oh and by the way, it wasn’t only me. You see, I didn’t buy those videos. They just came as a bonus when Lem bought this Ab Rocket equipment that’s meant to you know aid in getting those 6-pack. :P And since I really didn’t like the equipment and I’m already used to dancing in the gym, I utilize the DVDs during lunchtime for those times when I only work at home and there’s no need to service our clients.

Who would’ve thought that this would become the craze in the family? Haha!! My kuya first started joining me one time maybe he just wanna try and see the effects for himself. Until eventually, he’s doing the exercise on his own. Haha!! And Lem! I didn’t know he’s going to be “in” to these but at times you will see the three of us down in our living room doing both their favorite video, the AB Sculpt. And it’s really a nice bonding for the three of us you know?? Wala lang, aliw lang. :) At times, you will see Mama joining us in the background also. Hahaha!!

So who uses the AB Rocket now? No one! Haha!! And who’s now “in” to getting more DVD work-outs? * Me raises my hand * Haha!! So I eventually explored and at times now doing Pilates and Belly Dancing at times. Hahaha!! Whew!! That’s the pressure you get when you’re going to Bora this week- errr, I mean later. Haha!! It’s 6 AM now and I was thankful I woke up an hour earlier (on my own) because you see I didn’t set the alarm coz I dozed off when I told myself last night that I’m just going to shut my eyes for an hour. God, I was so tired from work yesterday and I even managed to go to the gym for an hour of dance and another hour of weight lifting. See?? Pressure!! Tsk! Tsk!! Haha!!

So, I’m thinking if these DVD thingy can replace gym itself?? You see, I read from one of these Yahoo journals that one of the things that people waste their money on is the gym. But somehow I beg to disagree because Tytana is one of the MOST frugal persons I know in this world and the fact that she’s spending money for this just means something. Like it is some sort of an investment. A health one, right?? And besides, I really love Body Jam it would break my heart not to be part of it. Cathy would be devastated too if I left the gym. Haha!!

Ok, I really got to go. Still have to try some outfits for Bora. * wink wink * I just hope there’s going to be a TV in the hotel coz Lem’s gonna be in ASAP this Sunday and I really really hope that his new TVC on an orange juice will already be shown this weekend. Ciao guys! See you soon! :)

Kinda Excited

Would you believe that this was Bora some 18 years ago? Yup, it was. Look how underdeveloped it is back then. There’s me with my Kuya and Mama holding the little cutie patootie Lem. Hehehe. Since Paps originated from the province of Aklan, we were fortunate enough to enjoy the beach back when it wasn’t yet famous and fully evolved as it is now. Not that I would notice that back then, but still!

And now I’m coming back. Well, it’s not really that my last visit there was at that age where I could go topless. Hahaha!! But I can say it’s been ages. I was still in college during my last trip with my parents (the two guys didn’t want to come and you know how family-oriented middle children are :P ;-).

I’ve seen lots of pics from before so I don’t really expect that much. I just want the BEACH for MYSELF!! Is that possible?? Haha!! I don’t like it too crowded that’s why I preferred to come before the Holy Week although I already have to admit to myself that YES, IT’S GONNA BE CROWDED. :P Hehe. Whatevs! Guess I’ll just have to enjoy it with my friends and if I wasn’t satisfied with this trip (which charged me more than my Kota Kinabalu trip sometime October, duh???), it’s for sure we can always go back to our little haven in Pagbilao, Quezon. Right guys? ;-)
