Day 2 @ Mong Kok

There's this one contact of mine in Facebook who kept on updating his Status every now and then via his mobile during this particular trip of his to somewhere up North! (Think shouting out what's his breakfast, updating on what he's currently doing etc etc that floods your homepage!! XD). I mean, seriously, is that really necessary??? How are you suppose to enjoy your trip when you're fingers are chained to your mobile every once in a while?? I promised myself then and there that I'm not going to do that.

Oookay cut to present, this might be an update to my second day in HK but atleast there's a one day interval from the last post, right? Haha!! Besides, at night I have to check on work (I tried so hard but this can't really just be a pure vacation XD) and I would really need to go online. Also, I have to correct something from the previous post coz I'm such such such a bad friend I have to make it up to her. :)

You see, I forgot that I have to debut Lisa's new hobby in here. I asked her why she's not posting her photography in her blog and she told me she doesn't feel like doing it so atleast I have to make a proper introduction here in my blog right?? It's the least I can do. :P The pic of me with the plane in the background on the last post is courtesy of the new SLR-ist (haha, is there even such a term???) my dear OC friend Lisa Marie. :P :P :P I soooo love it if you must know. Did you too??? ;-)

I just feel guilty because you know before when there's a scenery we use to take turns in the picture but now, it's all her capturing and ME posing. Hahaha!! The only thing I'm hating is her newly found passion of shooting me while I'm sleeping!!!!!!! Aaaarrrgghh!!! Haha!! Hey Wil, what do you think of her shot below in Mong Kok?? Okay, don't flatter the model anymore just give comments on the over-all shot!! HAHAHA!!!!

Another thing to be guilty about is our agreement before that we'll both buy at the same time SLRs but when re-telling the story to our new friends here, I excused that the money went to my shoes-es! LOL! :D I mean seriously, seeing her edit the pics (at night when I bug her to priotize my pics first before sleeping) really turns me off in buying this gadget. Haha! :P

Btw, been friends with her for sometime now and even before I really admire her being "organized" when it comes to things but it's only now that I proved how OC she is!! If you'll see her bag everything is so arranged in ziplocks including the dresses, the toiletries, the medical kit, vanity kit, and my goodness!! She brought hangers for this trip!! HANGERS!! I mean I'm fuzzy when it comes to my what I'm gonna wear but bringing hangers wouldn't even cross my mind!! Haha!! But why am I acting so surprised?? I should've expected all this the moment she emailed me our itinerary for this trip!! REPLETE with details on everything!! Hahaha!!!

Travel In Style

This is the story of two single girls braving the early morning travel to Clark Pampanga to catch an early flight of 7 AM to HK!! Sorry but we’re TOUGH and INDEPENDENT!! :P

Oh, look @ the jeepney we rented around 1 AM in order to get to DMIA, so classy isn’t it?? So much for traveling in style!! WAHAHA!!!

Well atleast, thankfully we made it in one piece to DMIA!! Surprisingly they have Wi-Fi!! So 5 AM, I was back at work sending out emails. Anything just to help me NOT catch a flight back to Manila on a Monday or Tuesday! XD

The flight was quite turbulent thanks for asking!! Whoever knew that the storm named Feria from the Phils would pass next here?? I didn’t even have time to check the weather! A million things were running in my head yesterday that even the news on MJ’s death occurred to me very late around 2 PM!

After working ‘til 7 PM yesterday, I met up Lisa in Makati where I also transacted some cash advance for allowance on this trip. Well, guess what?? My card got RETAINED!!! Good thing it’s a replacement card and the original will still work for me until end of this month!! Storm, credit card retention, what else could possibly sabotage this trip??? Swine Flu?? Hmm, better get protected!

We’re staying at Tseung Kwan O in Kowloon with a very good friend of mine Kuya Patrick. :) For today we get to tour their neighborhood and here’s to wishing tomorrow’s gonna be a sunny day for a nice tour of the city! :)

Slept 4 AM yesterday. Traveled to DMIA from 12-2 this morning. About 30 mins sleep @ DMIA. Probably 30 mins again during the shaky flight, 5 mins from the 45-min travel from airport to Kowloon and about 2 hrs again after lunch. You can tell guys, I'm UTTERLY DRAINED!!! ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

Don't Worry, Be Happy

I guess should be the correct feeling when you’re 26 hrs away from your trip. Instead I’m here in my laptop worrying about

#1 WORK. This and next week will be TOUGH. I have to check on work for the next week while abroad.

#2 SUITCASE. HAVEN’T. PACKED. YET!! If I may add, haven’t shopped for the trip yet. =(

#3 TRAVEL TO AIRPORT. I didn’t know Clark was that hard to access! Uhmm, especially when your flight is a little early you know. Blame it on the promos!!! :P

#4 LODGING. Me and Liz will just freeload and there were some changes lately on the availability of the apartment we’re supposed to stay at!! Thank goodness for back-up plans!! Aargh!!

#5 WORK. I’m sorry. I just really really have to ensure everything will be okay next week while I’m away.

There. I said it. Hoping that after stating them all it would make me feel a little better. Ok, check myself. Hmmmmm… Waaaaahhh!! Still NOT!! =(

I tried shopping and found this new shoe to ease myself. Funny, I first thought of Kim Chiu’s "happiness" TV commercial when I first tried it:

But the happiness was temporary. Back at home, back to work. :( Again, not complaining about work. Just wrong timing I guess. * sigh *

And just an update to last post, latest dream was getting married to a Philippine cager turned comedian. Argh! When will this end????????

Beautiful Nightmare

Thursday night: So okay I have this foreigner bf in my dream. Having said that there’s a significant other in the dream let’s not get too excited about it shall we? Haha! As from my recollection he’s not the type of guy that will certainly be within my radar in fact he’s a bit old. There’s a different story from where I came from which is a department store and going home I was all excited to see him so I was planting this kiss on his cheeks while my arms around his neck when it so happened that a new discovery plant was being filmed right behind us. Like it’s some sort of a new breed or something so it was being reported on TV. The next thing I know and to my eternal shame, the whole country saw the thing like it suddenly became the focus of the news report and not the plant and me cringing seeing myself in the screens of small TVs (like those you see in department stores) taken from different angles like all of a sudden the place was crowded with papparazis. Yay!

Saturday night: This one involved a well-known host-model-editor whom I had a short encounter with during the Samsung Innovate Race. In the interest of full disclosure, I exchanged a few friendly messages with him in my Friendster account right after the race when I saw from Who Viewed Me his profile. Please, not that I’m implying anything here coz he’s way out of my league. Anyways, Lisa gurl had a cameo role in this dream (hahaha!!). After she left with her mom from the hospital, I was left alone and he offered to walk me along Intramuros. His presence at the onset is again a whole different story and is irrelevant coz the thing is, we started acting like you know, a couple. Gosh, I’m feeling that kilig all over again! Hahaha!!! Publicly displaying affection like holding hands and just being happy with each other’s company. And when I said PDA, I really meant it like there’s a whole bunch of students in that area staring at us all probably thinking who’s the UFO, I mean unidentified girl he’s with. Haha!! To their credit, it doesn’t seem like they’re disapproving of me for a celebrity like him. Haha!! But really to my utter speculation, I’m wondering how come for such happy fleeting moments like this my clumsiness won’t leave me??? It’s very remarkable in this dream that while walking I left the right pair of my silver Havaianas and had to come back for it! Really, what a fiasco!! Alamo yun, okay na eh?!?! Hahahaha!!!

And believe me, you had no idea how Sunday morning I tried getting back to sleep again and again just to extend this dream!! * sigh *

I wish I’m just making up this story but come

Sunday night: The two guys I knew from the suburbs that just so happened were linked to me in different times before both proposed to me. They’re the best of cousins and I made this decision that favored one of them because I’m closest to his immediate family, which left me feeling sorry for the other one.

Grabe na these dreams! They’re so strange and weird and odd and combine all of those same adjectives! Haha! As usual, my friends when notified of this story would opine that this ia n omen that something good is to happen in my lovelife which is news with a capital new to me! Hahaha!!

One friend offered up that I might be thinking about it too much that’s why it’s haunting me in my dreams but trust me, hand in my heart, I’m NOT! I’ve long ago made peace to the possibility of being single for life! :P But then again if that’s too happen, what's there to loose? I’ve been practically living the bad side (the being single that is) for a long time now.

Haven’t had any thoughts lately, only fashion inspiration what with the ongoing sale around! Haha! Warehouse is having an ongoing sale and I was able to score this skirt that the ladies there kept on asking me to try ever since they started recognizing me! Believe me, it required superhuman effort to resist that skirt back then. From the cut alone, I already can tell that it’s going to be a figure hugger. As the saleslady was nudging me to the fitting room, tell you she's nothing if not persistent, I smiled running escape routes in my head. And before me and my credit card could cave under the pressure, I took out my phone and pretentiously answered a business call and headed outside. :P :P

So the other day, with the magic words 50% off emblazoned on a stand outside, I went inside mindful of this skirt. But alas, they don’t have something in my size anymore. :) This is already the last skirt in the rack. And it is a size 12. Duh? (*rolls eyes*) I’m an extra small in Plains n Prints! HAHAHA!! Until now, I can’t get over that size!! Hahaha!! Bah, humbug! Hahaha!!

No worries though, I can always count on a seamstress to fix it for me. But since I haven’t had time lately, I brilliantly thought of a way to still use it. Hindi naman ako excited noh?? Haha!!
Whoever invented cinchers is a genius beyond genius! My own personal Einstein! Hahaha!!

Aaah gloves! If only I am as posh as Vicky B (the Beckham not the Belo :P) then I could've been brave enough to make it a statement. * sigh *

Btw, I painted my lips crimson! Yay! Is the finishing touch too much for a breakfast meeting?? Haha!!

As-Shoe-Sual :P

The Strap-All-The-Way. First time paired with jeans!

The “baul” wedge. Baul (ba-oool) means treasure chest in English. I was talking to Angela about the whole ensemble and she doesn’t seem to have any recollection of any green shoes worn before in our office. Well right, coz this is an Intel shoe. Hehehe. I didn’t have a chance to wear it in Samsung. :P It’s not really old, but I can say it hasn’t been worn for a while. :P Hehe.

Okay, let me just share a little story on how I got this dress. Plains n Prints is having 50% off sale last week and I already like this dress even before. I very well know at one glance whether a dress would fit me so when I saw the one on display, I immediately went to the long queue of the fitting room to try it on. But since it was just a quick lunchtime eskyerda (escape) to the mall, I had to be quick. I had no choice but to walk past the line and try the dress outside the mirror of the fitting room where the girls could peek at me. I then removed my vest and retained my tank top and found the dress fitting nicely. So, I asked the saleslady from afar for a stock and when she asked what size? I looked at the dress and couldn’t believe the size I’m seeing. I had to reply (in a louder voice I must say for all those in the queue to hear), “Extra small!”. Hahahaha!!! Wala lang, I’m such a BRAG! Hahaha!!! It’s just that I never had a dress in this size before! :P

Okay, this may sound a bit presumptuous but without the face on, this could be a Blaire Waldorf for all you know. What with the headdress and all. :P Haha! I’m such a fan!

The “Break Monotony” Shoes.


The again, “yet-to-wear” Aldo shoes! Finally! Okay, take back all my hatred for this brand when it comes to shoes! Hahaha!! They have my size in pumps! But the best thing of all, I got it like 80% off! Weee!! :) Actually, the day I bought it, I was wearing the strappy boots above which y’all know from my post last time is a “copycat” of their shoes. I cringed while I was trying the shoes on! Hahaha!!!

And lastly, the finale, recent addition, currently-loving (haha!), the Ice-Skating shoes!! Hahaha!! It’s PINK! It’s PINK! It’s PINK! Hahaha!!!

I swear it’s super comfortable! And I paired it with my ice-skating dress. LOLs!

As for this flats on sale, currently thinking if it's okay. Haha!! I just need couz Will to tell me I have enough flats. Right? Right?? And I will counter him by mentioning his recently purchased camera. Wahaha!!

I was with Joy last Saturday in the mall! Weeee!! What a monotony from my usual weekends alone. Yey to her being "single" again. For now. Woooot!! Sweetness sorry we didn't have our pic. Next time okay? ;-)

Happy Memories

Silly me actually laughed when I saw this video in Facebook! What a dummy I wasn’t reading. Then when I learned what the video is for, I was in a total disbelief. It warranted an international SMS to Indonesia on a Saturday midnight to confirm. Sad news. :(

I had the chance to meet David on the cruise early this year. He wasn’t in SG for the last training. He’s a funny guy. It’s just heartbreaking when I realized that he’s about to get married. Next month!! Isn’t that the saddest thing ever?? =( I usually don’t post anything so depressing here but hey, c’est la vie. Anyway, this video is fun one! Taken aboard the Legend of the Seas cruise on its bar at the 11th deck, The Viking Crown. That’s how I’d like to remember him. :) Happy memories with David. :)

Samahang Walang Katulad (yessss, San Mig?? Haha!)

Friday night, amidst the heavy downpour in the Metro, we decided to push through with our get together in Mall of Asia. Lately, I’ve been observing myself so needy of friends to hang out with (haha!). Probably because most of the time I work alone but when I talked to our friend Herbert working in Canada whose soooo desperate to see the pictures or talk to us (his longest-running college friends), I realized how I still have to be thankful I only have this tiny downside in my current job set-up. I mean, its not like I have to fly in order to catch-up with my friends right? I only have to endure an hour and a half of…………….TRAFFIC!!! Due to the rain! Arrgh!

Herbert was so sweet to shoulder the dinner and then he also called to talk to each one of us. And all he’s asking in return are……pictures!! Which brings me,

Bong, Me, Xie, Dolph, Lot and "plus one" Weng :)

And while we’re still at it, Bong took out these “trash” that Herbert entrusted to him before his family migrated. Our PICTURES! Hahaha!! Xiela’s gonna be cross if I scan them (haha!). But we had so much fun looking at them not only because of the memories it bring but basically, uhmm well, how we all looked back then. Nyahaha!!

Take for example this photo below, Xiela atleast I didn’t scan it :P, we were on our way to a college outing and we’re all seated at the rearmost of the bus. Now the bus has definitely something wrong in it coz the ride was so bumpy only at the backside and we all found ourselves jumping from our seats as though we’re riding on a horseback. It has got us all laughing for about most of the trip to the beach and we asked someone to take a photo while we’re up from our seat. :P Sooo funny!!

And then I found also this another photo which I’ve been dying to see right after our organization’s orientation day because I thought I looked “pretty” in it what with my white make-up under my lower eyelashes as taught to me by my gay friend back then. I haunted that picture and never had the chance to see it only until tonight. And guess what? They all laughed at me for looking like that! Haha!! But really, it’s not that bad! Oh well, just goes to show I’ve never been that good in cosmetics back then and until now!

One thing I noticed from the photos back then is that when I smile, I REALLY do smile!! As though I have this perfect set of teeth!! Gosh, what was up with that?? Hahaha!! Actually I think I heard from Bert over the phone that the reason why he asked Bong to bring them is for us to scan them so he can reflect and see for himself. Yay!! I’ll just make it private!! Hahaha!!!

So many memories! It’s been 10 yrs now and I’m glad we stayed this far. I’m still hoping for another round of Quezon with them this year. Despite the rainy season, I still long for the beach! Yay! Haha!

RAVES: Well, wearing my yellow flats sandals the other day was certainly not one of my wisest decisions in my life. So I wised up and put on my “goldy” ballet flats tonight and I’m ultra loving it! Xiela said it’s similar to the shoe in Boys Over Flowers (Korean drama) but I’m not following it so can anyone tell me?? I got it on sale! :) I must say the delight is just too much for someone like me who before loathes those flats that sort of bends like a U-shape when not worn. :P


Also, I missed chowing down on that Toblerone cheesecake from Coffee Bean! Absolutely the best! :P

Change of Season

But it’s definitely not spring as what you’re going to see in the photo below but I like it very much. PLUM!

Ange my friend however appalled from last post was nevertheless delighted when I showed her this on the same day. Haha!! I hope you too would like it like those who saw me in this yesterday. I was greeted with most of the persons I encounter; in fact I even think the dress is the reason why the storekeeper in the mall processed my request even if they don’t usually offer that service (which I really need badly for work!). :) He’s gay and he really never forgot to point how he likes it before I left. Ű

Plum, Spring, you can associate whatever things that comes to your mind with the dress but this one made me feel like Barbie!! Haha! I know that we all love Barbie when we were little girls so before I gather any violent reaction on your part, let me just point out that It’s Just Me thinking that way. Haha!! Especially with the matching headband below. Hihi.

I was glad to pull it off even with the torrential rain yesterday! Whew! Yup, June’s officially the opening of rainy season. You all know how I love rainy days! :)
