A Woman's Right To Shoes

As the month of March comes to a close, I can’t help but be proud of myself when it comes to my finances. A quick review of my expenses this month revealed that I spent wisely for my “luxuries”. What an irony eh?? But here’s why.

Another reason to love this mammoth-sized feet of mine is for scoring shoes-es on sale. Remember the time I was in “hiatus mode” (aka can’t think of anything to post mode hehe), I busied myself on emptying items in my room. I made a quick trip to Divisoria to look for some things that will help me out clear space in mah room and discovered the little wonder that a shoe rack can bring. With it, I was able to eliminate about 20 boxes of flats (everything heeled are still kept in their houses) and managed to squeeze them all in that blue zippered chamber. What I didn’t expect is that I would gain 6 new boxes for this month. Haha!

These 6 ladies of mine were all very well spent. Coz here’s the thing: all of them are from fairly expensive brands but none of them costs something more than Php 600. Everything was actually bought about 3-5 times lower than their original prices. Fun isn’t it? Haha!

You actually wouldn’t believe the first encounter on CMG. It just so happened that I was early for the gym one Saturday afternoon and decided to roam the mall first. I didn’t know there was a mall-wide sale ongoing and I was like saying to myself “This is a sign! I haven’t spent for weeks now and maybe I could find something today.” So I went to the said shoe shop and saw two racks on the left and right that were obviously put up for the sale.

Check left rack. Oops, none in here. Feeling a bit successful. Right rack. Oh why, almost all of the shoes fit in here! Now let me just say, I love it when there are big sizes in display. I didn’t have to wait for the saleslady to fetch a pair for me and see if I would like the fit. Haha! So I found the beige ones and asked for the pair. I saw the price it’s 999.

I tried it on. Nice! Then I thought 999? That’s quite expensive. I mean, I scored a Janylin pumps 3 weeks ago for 300 pesos only. (Hahaha!! OMG!! I can’t believe my way of thinking myself!! Something has really changed!! Hahaha!!) But hey, I already asked for the pair and it would be a shame to turn the saleslady down. I was looking for those mannequins who would shake their head no and applaud me for my decision. (Hahaha!! Shopaholic movie?? Haha!!) But there’s none. Obviously, this is a shoe shop come on you moron. Haha!! Besides it was payday and I was ready to give myself a little treat. So I went back to the rack and saw this cute black flats and put them on. I asked for the other pair since I thought that this might be worth for the 999 since my black flats is already pretty worn-out. Who needs another high heels? I’ve already lots of them.

I had a hard time picking between the two pairs. The beige open-toe is a heeled shoe with a style that I don’t have yet but the black pair also is soooo comfortable it felt like it's nuzzling my feet. In spite of myself, I was willing to spend for ONE and ONLY ONE pair of shoes. (Can you believe this?? OMG, sooooo not KC!! Hahaha!!)

After a careful consideration of the pros and cons (hahaha!!), the beige one won. After all, I still have a black shiny flats back at home.

“Miss, sige yung beige na lang!” Letting out a huge SIGH while looking at the other shoe. * sniff *

“Ay ma’am hindi po pwede. 2 for 999 po ung promo. Nagtataka nga po ako bakit nahihirapan kayong pumili.”

I turned my head to the sign and read it clearly. Yun naman pala! Haha!! Ang shunga-shunga kasi hindi nagbabasa! Hahaha!! Moral lesson: Read the signs next time. Hahaha!! So that’s how I got away with the two pairs.

And the other two pairs was history. But PS, it’s in a different mall. * wink wink *

I got the title from one of the episodes of Sex and the City. Remember the time when Carrie lost her Manolo Blahniks in a party?? And she was “shoe-shamed” by the owner for living an extravagant lifestyle. In the end she got her Blahniks back by announcing a marriage to herself. :P Clever! Hehe. I loved, loved, loved how she ended it.

“The fact is, sometimes it’s hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.”

Soooooooo TRUE!
To make things fun, I created a poll here. Watchutink?? Vote now!! Haha!

Clumsy Channeling Cameron

Well, Cameron Diaz told me she’s sick of the dress so she handed it down to me.

WAHAHA!! Dream on!! As if I’ve got her size! And look at those gams!! Oohh, just to have ‘em. It’s perfection!! :) And I'll take a mental note to wear it with red lipstick and nude pumps the next time. ;)

I SOOOOOOO LOVE the dress!! Haha!! I found it just last week in a local shop and I know it’s kinda party-ish but it’s too pretty just to sit in my overloaded closet so I glam-ed up last Friday. Besides I’m meeting my posse for a quick lunch meeting. ;-) And up to now I still wonder why everybody at work brands me as party girl??? Haha!

Makati 12:30 PM. Gosh, I really really really wish I would be able to memorize this place one day. As in really!! It’ll save me all the time from getting lost, the additional expenses from the cab from finding our way around and the fine lines because of the irritation to the driver who doesn’t know the place as well. Ugh! You often hear me complaining about time recently, well it’s something about work. But I’ll save it up for another story. :)

And for the clumsy portion,

“You got me trippin’, stumblin’, flippin’, fumblin’”

So okay while I was at a lost in an underpass in Makati looking for a security guard to ask for directions, I saw that same familiar handsome face greeting me with a smile. I squeezed him in the agenda since he’s just around the area for a quick hello. He volunteered to accompany me to where I was going. With my heels click-clacking in the pavement and without quite meaning to, I gave him my laptop bag and gave me this weird look as if it’s not appropriate. Silly me explained,

“Masisira ung sequins ng damit ko.” Pointing to the sequins in the black portion of my dress’ shoulder, I said trying to be sassy but cute. Haha!! Then we carried on with the conversation,

“Bat ka ba kasi naliligaw sa Makati?”

“Eh kasi nga sabi nila ditto muna mag-meet sa Krispy Kreme tapos lumipat sila sa……….AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! (All in one breath, haha!)

I tripped. IN. MY. DRESS!! While walking along Makati!! OMG!! Not so fab!!

Scenes from before came flashing back, whenever this happens; he will always tease me about it,

“Oh. Ilang isda nahuli mo?” (How many fish did you catch?)

I was waiting for him to say that. But none. But of course, things have changed. So to save myself, I turned around and smiled to whomever saw me when that embarrassing thing happened, turned sideway to him and made a big whip on his right arm then blurted out loud for them to hear,

“Tinulak mo ko!” (How dare you push me?!)

HAHAHA. Geese, sometimes I can really be mean!! Hahaha!! And we chortled about it. HAHAHA!!! Well before, he would gladly offer to take my hands and put it in his arms for a better grip and I better start before all these kilig feelings wash over me. :P

When we finally reached my friends, he walked with us some more before he said goodbye to go back in his office.

I was recalling the scenario to this girlfriend of mine. And I think she’s the one to be blamed for this (hahaha!!); because she gave this conclusion that we’re physically matched just like what everybody before use to say. She also kept me bugging the whole time with these “what if” questions. * rolls eyes *

Suddenly I had this epiphany. I may not be that adept walking in those heels or whatever but I can really manage well thank you very much. And I realized that, the tripping scenario only when I'm with this particular guy. Matter of fact, even with a wedge or a flats on before, the stumbling still happens. Yes it’s true.

So if I’m going to carry on with this stuff ala Carrie Bradshaw,

“Some people can tell if they already meet the one. It’s like those in the movies, having hiccups after that accidental kiss, feeling like raising their right leg during a kiss”…err why are my examples all about kissing? Coz it just means I really don’t believe it myself oh wait I just thought of another one “butterflies in your stomach. To others they just simply shrug it off and say you’ll just know it. So I couldn’t help but wonder, (insert the question here)” Hahaha!! Gosh, I’m really taking this Carrie thing so seriously. Am I? :P

But no. Unlike Carrie, I will not come up with something about this. Maybe in a different time, this will mean running back to him and delivering this line ala Julia Roberts:

“"Look, I guarantee that we'll have tough times. And I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us will want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know in my heart, you're the only one for me."

LOL!! Me doing that? It will send me ROFL. Hahaha!!

But no, it’s different now. Things are more complicated now. In fact I can justify that epiphany with a lot of explanations why the tripping thing happens when I'm with him and don't dare me coz I could come up with a list. :P So to finally put an end to all these, after all my nerves were already in perpetual overdrive last week coz of work, let me just say that I was glad seeing him again, that our Palawan trip was finally settled and I got away with all my tasks last Friday at work. :)

And allow me to change my song of the week in this blog to Clumsy. Hahaha!!

Praises for Tayong Dalawa

I knew it. The other one was alive. The other David Garcia Jr. Hahaha!! Not that I like Jake Cuenca. Well, slightly yes. Haha!! But among all the other things that I predicted would happen, this one came out right. I mean during the initial feature of the show, who would’ve thought that the scene where Gerald Anderson was hollering “Soldier down, soldier down!” would happen at the very first part of the show?? Amazing!! But okay let me outline first (I really love doing this!) the reasons why I love this show and let’s start with the mundane things shall we?? ;-)

1. The billboard. Haha!! I love this one below coz it’s sooooooo Princess Hours-ish. And you all know it’s one of my all-time fave Korean drama. :P

Only perhaps, a more serious one. Haha!!

2. The song. I don’t think there’s anyone who could come up with such a soulful rendition of Rey Valera’s hit like what Gary V did. Who among you wouldn’t find yourself crooning to the very first lines of the chorus right after a commercial break?? Believe me, I can’t help it myself nor my brother and not even our neighbors whom I could hear singing along with so much gusto from our 2nd floor. Haha!! It’s contagious!

3. Excellent casting. Can you believe how a roster of multi-awarded actors and actresses were all rolled into a soap?? Bravo!! I specially love how Agot Isidro shines in her role as Ingrid and how heavy the scenes are when she and Cherry Pie clashes. :P Nevermind that Eula and Jean moved to the rival station (blech!), ABS has already produced a new rivalry tandem. :) Not their loss at all. And I’m always amused in the funny scenes specially when Ingrid ridicules Marlene coz she came from a poor family. Heck, I can’t even forget that “Channel” moment when they talked about the bag. Haha!! I also like the mother-daughter tandems. What can I say? The casting is perfect! :P

4. Fast-paced. We Filipinos are ever-tired of TV dramas that prolong the same ending by introducing new characters with their own different story which I must say is still happening into some of the shows today. So this is really something refreshing. :P

5. Amazing plot. Maybe I don’t have that director’s instinct like some of my friends where they could see things coming but I didn’t expect that the two lead guys would not be mortal enemies when they found out they were brothers or that Baron (current villain) would die a little early in the show and that new kontrabidas will come along and so on and so forth. This show is bloody brilliant!

Kudos to ABS for producing this hit! I hope that this would also come successful and penetrate other countries like how foreign soaps are so “in” to us. I’m so glad that even though there were times that I would miss an episode, there are a lot of fanatics that upload it to the web. :P And they’re fast, I must say. So, for those of you missed this week’s happenings, you can always depend Youtube or keybol.blogspot.com. Happy viewing! Hehe. :P

Vintage KC

Whaaaaduup Facebook??? Ok, I admit that I’m kinda using it more often than Friendster. And oooh, get this; they now have nicknames for networking sites FS and FB. Yeah right! :P Well, what with the recent virus attack in FS, poser accounts ( I looked at my brother's name there must have been more than 5 fake accounts and I can't imagine Chek's) and well its their fault they didn’t quite kept up with what “the others” has got to offer, I must say it’s time to switch. FS’ getting a bit boring to look at. * yawn *

But I’m not converting 100%. Recently they just pissed me off with this survey. This unknown contact of mine, posted a poll something like Do you think KC is sexy?? And the answer was yes. The page will lead you to this link where you would know who voted as yes. Prickled with intrigue, I clicked on the link and tadddaaahh!! They will tell you that you have to do many polls about your other friends just to reveal that delicious chunk of information. DUH??? As if everybody has got that ample time in this world??? Phhhbt!!! Certainly no love from me to FB. XD

Anyways, don’t know if this became “in” or not in FB but Shiela all started posting these “old school” pictures. And what I hate about it is that when your tagged, the pic will display in your profile and BAM!! All you contacts can now see that photo. I mean, hello?? If I wanted that photo to be in my profile then I would just upload it myself thank you very much. Haha!! I’m not mad. There’s really nothing to be ashamed of that particular photo I’m talking about. Haha!! But since it’s already out, then fine! Let the whole world know about it. Wahaha!! :))

As you can see, I’m quite taken aback with this photo because I mean yes I do have hardcopy of those pics when I look like that and those photos of times when digital cameras are not yet invented and hence a shot with you flattering or not in it cannot be deleted in the film (you can just wish the film gets exposed :P) are not, I repeat, ARE NOT, meant to be put in the web. (Hello KC, what are scanners for?? Hahaha!!). Okay I already talked too much about this:

Mark, Shiela,Joan & KC

I can still remember this time. Mark and Shiela had just come back from Baguio and surprised us with the news that “Sila Na”. The four of us were walking along the walls of Intramuros after school and Joan and I can’t really look behind even if we’re discussing something with the couple behind us. The thing is, we’re not used to seeing our girlfriend with someone and outright HHWW (holding hands while walking) at the dawn of the relationship no less!! Haha! I can even remember myself joking about it,

“Ano ba yan Joan? Parang may nakahubad sa likod hindi tayo makatingin.”

Hahaha!!

But look at them now. Already married!! And look at us, me and Joanne. Sigh. I’d rather not state the obvious. Tsk!

Anyway it’s not the point. Wow, I’ve gone this far to say that it’s not my blog about. Haha!! But look at me there. Haha!!

So payatot. That time (circa 2003), I can eat that all rice you can in Tokyo Tokyo and I. DON’T. GET. FAT!! Not at all. I mean, back then I already see myself fat but in hindsight I looked malnourished. But still, I want that kind of metabolism!

So nene. Look at the face – so unadulterated by make-up. The lips – so destitute of a reddish lipstick perhaps. Haha!! I can’t pinpoint exactly what seems like a big change in what I look now.

How about you?? Let’s do it ala Perez shall we?? When I first saw KC in that photo, my reaction is _____________________________________________________________________.

Hips Don't Lie

Beyonce or should I say Sasha Fierce , I love you (I changed my name in Friendster to this and before I was using Foxxy Cleopatra as a proof). We all know you have the BODY to die for. But please, PLEASE, don't make me jealous of that hips anymore as I really know I'm lacking in that department. Please, I beg you.

my gosh, is that for reals???

Hips exercises anyone?? Sigh. But then again, you inspire me to take provocative shots (provocative daw, hahaha!!!) when I do my SSB (Secret single behavior, not that it's a secret anymore. Hahaha!!) of taking shots of myself. :P This is just all I can afford. And it features those cheap, what do they call that again?, "overrun" dress I found in Greenhills. ;)

I love that it's so easy to wear and so work appropriate. Although they made me take my shoes off this afternoon and wear those "clean room shoes" that are only allowed inside the equipments section of the client's office to troubleshoot something. :P I also love that my Tita loves the sexiness of the dress, she probably would buy those fabrics and have it copied to her tailor just like what she always does with my clothes. :)

And then again who needs hips exercises when you can have a dress that hugs your body and gives you that "shape"? Maybe just more on Pilates. Hey, I'm loving Pilates. Hahaha!!

Howdy love that music for today on the right side of the bar is Hips Don't Lie?? Hehehe.

Try Wensha

Bone-tired? Jaded? Worn-out? Exhausted? Or simply combine all of them and you’ll know what I felt this week?? Haha, just kidding. ;) Then may I suggest you come to this wonderful spa haven where ultimate relaxation is guaranteed. :)

Seen the place and heard positive remarks from it but was only able to try it for myself last Thursday in the company of my visiting colleagues where once again I was flummoxed as to where I would take them out after dinner.

Based on my observation when we were in Phuket, these guys love to pamper themselves. Well if you work hard then you gotta treat yourself right?? It’s just utterly logical. Everything was already set and we were already enduring the 30-min ride from Ortigas to Roxas Boulevard when that meddlesome hotel driver insisted on the guys going to those “bright lights” on the other side of the road. In the end, Dynah & I were left to enjoy the wellness experience which I really don’t mind for as long as the guys enjoy themselves. Btw, I just learned Dynah is reading this site. So, hi!! ;)

I thought that what sets this spa apart from the rest is their buffet meal and the 24-hr service. But there’s more. After one of the staff brought us our slippers to rest my tired feet from walking in my heels, we were led to the ladies’ locker room where Dynah & I were impressed with the sensor type locking mechanism. Even more impressive was that huge Jacuzzi with a huge flat screen TV in the center showing that soap Tayong Dalawa (which I sorely missed watching this week) and had enticed me to take a warm dip. Until I read the rules and saw the no-clothes policy (skinny dipping indeed!) and decided against it. Hahaha!! At that moment, I felt like Charlotte York in that one episode of SATC – unconfident to bare it all. :P Besides, I realized we strictly have 2 hours only before the guys pick us up and it will already pretty much consume all the service. I got a 1 hr body massage and another of foot massage. ;)

Having said about that limited time, it was also worth mentioning that you can choose to stay for as long as 12 hours in the place. Nice isn’t it? Especially for those who would like to enjoy some forty winks after the service (I’m always guilty of this, gosh I’m such a sleepyhead :P) or maybe for some of those who would like to take advantage of the food (guilty too!! Hahaha!!).

After the massage where Dynah & I shared a room, we were led to another room which is my favorite part of the spa: the feet service area. Upon entering the aroma of the oils used for the service wafts through, it’s cold and dark and you’ll love the couch with that TV on the side where you can enjoy the shows only to yourself. BIO has got me fixated on the TV screen with their feature on Paris Hilton while I was immensely enjoying the service. :D

Didn’t get to try the food (too bad) as the bosses Faizel and Tee Meng were already waiting outside. Well, my brother too. ;) Would love to take my mum and tita to that place sometime. Of course pictures not allowed but they’ve got a lot in the web. Yes, it’s an infusion of Zen and modern.

Well if there’s anything I didn’t like about the whole thing, it’s about how the workers were paid. Dynah & I were too nosy about their compensation and after hearing their sad plight we felt compelled to give a bit more for the tip. :( Sigh, life. So remember this when you try their service alright?? Have a relaxed weekend. :)

=(

I promised him that maybe when I finally have the time, I will take him to a grooming salon.

Now it won’t happen anymore.

So sad. Choi choi’s gone.

Late night craving for Dulce de Leche cake over a cup of coffee or Milk Tea won’t be the same anymore. He used to be my other half: the other half who shares my favorite food. :( Come to think of it, recently I was amazed he didn’t like any of those Max’s caramel bars that I super like. :(

I’m unlike those girls who put all their motherly instinct to their pet. I don’t know; it’s just me. Since Papa calls him “Bunso” then I figured I must only be his “Ate”. But lately, I was training him to be carried like a baby. You know that one where he’s facing you up. Since he was already 5-month old when we bought him, he wasn’t used to that treatment. Now coming home isn’t the same anymore. No more Choi Choi that collapses into paroxysms of joy upon your sight. No more chanting and baby talk in that tiny voice for me. * sigh *

Dear god, please guide those who found him and lead him to good hands. Please. Because the alternative is unthinkable.

And here’s to wishing I’d stop crying whenever I remember him. =,(

Us @ Capricciosa

'Twas the perfect sunny day. Sweltering for others but just okay for my asymmetrical dress, hehehe. Me, Lisa and Mike are meeting in Greenbelt 4 and I figured you won't get wrong girly-ing up a bit in that place. Ű

I have an accomplishment worth mentioning - I came the earliest. :)) I remember last time at Cuillere, I was 1 hr late Lisa and Mike already started their lunch. :P Which is okay because the only rule existing here is NEVER EVER allow Mike to starve. Hahaha!!

Hump de bump doop bap. For the 2nd time here this year, I once again bumped into someone I know. Intel folks. Tiny world. :P Lisa came next and we were able to gossip a bit, hehe, before Mike arrived complaining about his headache. :-S

Trivia, trivia. Mike shared the trivia (actually its more of a joke, haha!) about the peace pose of the Chinese/Korean so I shared something about the origins of pizza. :P Hehe. And as for Lisa, she shared her own trivia on her weight loss. Can you believe how her figure has improved here?? I'm jealous. Haha!!

I leave the food review to Lisa in her blog. She's the expert on that. :) All of us each had different desserts. Afterall, it's Lisa's cheat day. A day for all her capriccios. Hehehe.

Well, I hope we can make way for a summer escapade this year. :) Just wanna share this last pic, hehe. Wala lang, naaliw lang ako. Taken about 2 years ago. :P

T,T

Did you know that the characters above represent or means crying in Korean writing? Apparently, I was such a moron I didn't know about it only once upon a chatting time with Brian before. Haha!! Gosh, I can't believe he's been here for 2 days now and I haven't met him up. I've been soooooooo busy the last few days coz of work but who's complaining?? I've long forgotten how it feels to work hard and do well but it was damn nice! :)

Anyways, working 'til 3 AM is not a real problem for me as long as I can wake up a li'l late (say 8:30 AM?) and start again the next day in my PJs. But not lately. Somebody's taking my newly-found and oh-so cherished freedom away. T,T or =,( Starting this and next week, I was asked to report straight to the customer's office until the project finishes. Waaaaah!! Haha!!

Looking at the brighter side of it, yes I could dress up. And after reporting for about 3 days, it was only today that I learned the company's implementing strict rules on clothing. I was almost not admitted this morning. :P Who's stopping KC from dressing up? NO ONE. Haha!! I kid. Well for the record I know I've always been disobedient to fashion police rules but not this time. This isn't my company, not my territory. Na ah. :P And I bet my charm to that kind security guard will not work anymore next time. Hehe.

So yeah I could wear again my corporate clothes but then the amount of joy doesn't compensate for that routine of waking up, crawling at the end of the bed where the table is to turn on my laptop, going down for a coffee, break from work by doing home exercise 30-mins before lunchtime ( we have this DVD exercises at home where YES! I can wear those midriffs and shorts while working out, hahahaha!!), once in a while playing with my dog ( I have this habit of just pulling his ears and be satisfied after I heard him squeak, hahaha!!) and everything else. Have I started becoming lazy?? Haha!!

In all fairness, the employees I'm working with are very kind and accomodating. :) I sure miss having officemates around my working area. But still I deal with early traffic, crowded morning streets........whatever!

Yesterday, I just wanted to emphasize the plaid skirt (fyi, it is pronounced as plad :P) and came up with this. I thought the whole black thing is my way of mourning over the temporary loss of work coziness. :P

Have I said I love that plaid skirt? Oh yes I love it in fact we're getting married next year. Hahaha!!
Weekend at long last!! Aaaah!!! :D

Indian Gastronomy @ The New Bombay Restau

Located at the Podium in Ortigas, this restaurant guarantees satisfaction for those who are looking for some authentic Indian cuisine. :)

Inasmuch as I’m not a cooking expert, the same can be said about food-tasting. There are just those people who impress me by telling at the first taste which and which ingredients are present in a certain food. (Ratatouille, how do you do that???) But screw that!! I have my own indicator that simply tells me whenever a food is so good that I know I had too much of it: my tummy!! Hahaha!!

Ever since my Indian colleagues started visiting here, that hospitable side of me had always been bothered on where to take them for nice lunches or dinners. But due to hectic skeds, we usually end up settling for what’s near or convenient. Last Monday when Su and I were on the verge of going to Banana Leaf (I’m not so sure but I told him it’s somehow Indian due to the yummy chicken curry I tried last time :-SS ), we saw this streamer of The New Bombay right beside the escalator. When he asked me if want to try the restau, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! It’s high time for an initiation to Indian gastronomy. :)

I feel sorry that I wasn’t able to bring my camera so I just searched in the web for pics of the delicacies I tried. Another reason for writing about it here is because I noticed that only a few people have blogged about the experience. Too bad for something too good. :)

For starters, Su picked on the Pappadam (I memorized the term by associating it with Papa Don’t Preach, hahaha!!!). It’s more like chips or crackers and you have the option for it to be fried or roasted. But the minute the waiter handed us the plates, it was very clear that Su likes the roasted one. Haha!! It comes with chutneys: the red one has some sweet and sour taste into it (with Mango according to Su) and the green one is served with herbs and spices into it. Me likey!!

Pappadam preach, haha!!

Next came the Naan or simply their flat bread. This one comes in many flavors when I checked in the menu: butter, cheese, etc. I picked the cheese and I didn’t know it tastes soooooooooo good when dipped into the Chicken Tikka Masala (chunks of boneless, skinless chicken breast and thigh meat marinated in spices to a deep red, matching the intense color of the curry sauce) which is already the main course for the night with the Chicken Briyani (rice dish with spice, herbs and other seasonings). Yes, we had an overload of chicken. Haha!!

Naan
Actually, I wasn’t sure if Su told me to dip the Naan in the Pappadam chutneys. Haha!! But I so like the taste of the Chicken Tikka and although it’s also good I can’t have too much of the rice in Chicken Briyani since it’s already night time. Diet. Haha!! So in the end, Su finished what’s left of the Briyani while I munched on the Naan dipped in Tikka. Aaaah, sarap!!! :D

Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken Briyani

Lastly, this one is unforgettable: the flavored Laasi for drinks. Laasi according to Su is yogurt shake. It also comes in different flavors: strawberry, ube, mango, etc.etc. I went for the Ube. Heavenly!! Hahaha!!!

Flavored Laasi

I really really wanna go back to that restau and try everything on their menu specially the curry. Anyone of you who would like to treat me?? Hahaha!!! Anyways, I’ve already booked one in August with pseudo-cousin Wil. Right Wil? You said it’s your treat right?? Hahaha!! No taking back of words now, my blog readers already know about it. Hahaha!!

Spicy food lovers like me must really try that restau. ;) Here’s a snapshot of the ambiance. Just want you to know I had a hard time pulling the chair. Quite heavy, haha!!

Lastly, I’m so happeee. Brian’s here. Brian’s here. :D :D :D

Where's The Sun??

How exactly do I do this??

Hahaha. Just kiddin'. :)
Summer is soooooooo here. I was whining about the heat for the last 2 weeks especially when most of the client meetings were done in the afternoon. Mere minutes of taking a shower can already make you loose your freshness and sweat like pig.

For the last 2 weeks it seems that I wasn't only being a lame blogger, I'm dressing up pretty much boring too. I just realized I stuck to the same color combo for two different meetings. Good thing they're different telco companies.

Now THAT's a major offense what with the chock full of clothes I have in my room (take note: not closet) and the rarity of going out of "my office". I just decided that I have to make full use of the other clothes as well. Else they'll get jealous. Hehe. I couldn't help but wonder (yay! Sooo Carrie's words ;)" what's with yellow? Tribute to EDSA or to the SUN? Haha!!

For someone like me who once thought that I'll never ever dress up in yellow, it's amazing how it was declared color of the last year and poof! It dominated the color of not only my closet but my shoe rack as well! And what's more amazing is that for me the trend continues until this year. I can still recall how obsessed I was over this at this very same time of the last year.

So as an added proof, let me show you this cheap yet lovely printed dress I bought last time in Tomato. :) Ever since I saw the trio combo of white, yellow and black in the YSL fashion show (if I remember correctly), I couldn't help but get my hands into one of those. Here it is:

Lovesit! I was thinking of putting a huge black flower brooch to pin on that right side of the shoulder but unfortunately the one I have wasn't big enough. Haha!! And if you can still recall, it was very much Carrie's style during the time she was dating a politician. ;) Not that I'm into one right now. Haha!

Despite its asymmetry, I was pretty much determined to wear it yesterday in a meeting with our Sales manager and decided against it when I realized: There's no sun!!! It was raining yesterday and I opted to dress down. Now don't get me wrong I still love the rain, but i'll be patiently waiting for the SUN so I can wear it again.

Whew! That was a long blab right there. Obviously missed talking here. Haha! How's everybody?? Everything SUNNY?? ;)
