Lazy Blogger

Since I'm still all forest/mountain/nature inspired from my recent Sagada trip, I decided to rock these new babies of mine I got on sale - my Leopard print shoes. :P

Actually, I'm just feeling kinda lazy to start my Sagada Adventures and figured a nice photo would be a very good substitute. Hahaha!!!

I wish I can sing to the tunes of these shoes are made for walking, but I have to admit it was quite hard balancing in all 4 inches of it. :P

In fairness to me, I did my homework and am quite pleased to annouce that Sagada pics can now be viewed HERE! So click, click!! ;-)

Now back to the shoes, if the party will push through later then that's the only time I can tell if they are also made for dancing. Ahaha!!

Enjoy the weekend! :)

The Swimming in Pansol

Before I go on a full-blast blogging on my Sagada trip which I just did a preview below, let me just give a space here about the swimming in Laguna with my college friends (date: Oct. 11) . Mark's vacation from Saudi called for the gathering and it's REALLY been a long while since I last saw him (3 years) and some of them (Randolph - 2 years ago?? Jonathan - 4 years ago!!). Among the dozen of people present, only 5 of them belongs to the original B102 section some 8 years ago??? Gosh, am I really that old?? Haha!!

Bong, Randolph, de Moi, Jonathan and Mark

Just a little case of TMI (too much info, hehe), Xiela and I were the only girls from this section. So you know, I was quite special to the guys. Wahaha!! And Xiela is being a very good friend in here by going MIA on us for the second time around (1st one was in Pagbilao). Tsk, tsk, tsk!! Hahaha!!! Peace lola!! :D

Actually, I wasn't being a good friend either. I stayed only from Saturday night til early morning of Sunday because I had to be a good niece and friend to my Titas and Titos in Cabuyao, Laguna which is already quite near the gathering venue. I consider the place my 2nd home since I stayed there for about a year and a half during Intel days. My promise to my besty Joy who's now working in SG is that I will visit them once in a while so basically the weekend was spent hitting two birds with one stone. :)

Knowing that I had to be early the next day for the Sunday worship, I should've left the pool earlier but then....BUT THEN, Bong took out his underwater cam around 10 PM and obviously I had to stay longer. Haha!! Yes, I'm officially blaming that thing for making me sick the next day. Hahaha!!! :D Here's a pic of Bong and my gigantic feet ( =P) doing the race. Of course he won over me since I was quite an amateur in swimming. This was taken by Fe.

And of course, here's to the man (or should I say woman?? haha) of the night: Marky. Ü You know that you are special when among the group if and only if you alone has the pasalubong (gift) from him. Hehehe. Thanks for the perfume!!! ;-)

But of course Mark will always be special to me. My most fond memories of him were being the matchmaker and chaperon during the X-bf days and as well as the shock absorber during the break-up days. Hehehe. This is a captured moment of us trying to do the most "sensual" pose we could muster for Bong's camera. Haha!! Funny, how we had to suppress our laughter for the shots and then burst out laughing after the shutter. :D

As for this one, all I can say is hahaha!!! Thanks to the moist of the camera's cover, this didn't look that HIGH-larious. :P This is the reason why I turned down requests (as if there were that many!! haha!!) of some friends of mine who are aspiring photogs to be their subject. Surely, I won't take the sessions seriously coz I'm the type of person who just simply loves to LAUGH out LOUD!! Hehe. Besides, I don't look good on serious shots. I still believe that people look their best when they SMILE. :)

But then again after some time, when everybody was engaged on videoke or taking their turns in tequila shots (which I wasn't able to avoid, tsk tsk!!) and the camera was left on my custody, my oh my you know what to expect!! Hahaha!!! I continued the "serious look" experimentation (or can also be referred to as the sleepy mode since it was already past 12 midnight :P). Geese, there are no more films these days and data storage is available everywhere, so what's a girl gotta do?? Hahaha!!!

(a) Me and Mark during videoke (b) baby Moira (cute, cute!! ^^) (c) taking advantage of the cam, haha!! (d) the crew minus Jo, Ali and Dolph (e) me mic hogging =P

Well I missed the bonding time the whole Sunday, I left just when they're about to sleep. But I'm looking forward to Mark's despedida party before he leaves again for Saudi. *sigh*

Best-est Adventure So Far :)

Eager beaver to report the happenings for the last 3 days. Although I’m totally and utterly knackered, I can’t help sharing it this early.

1. The Beautiful Banaue – the 12 hour drive was all worth it!!!

2. Lake Danum aka Lake Placid. Hehehe. I dunno if it’s only me but I first thought of Switzerland when I first saw it. :P
3. Spelunking the Sumaguing Cave. OMG!!! This is the f*cking best experience of all! Pardon the expletives lately; I don’t know where they’re coming from. :P 4. Bomod-Ok Falls – the waters of which are freezing cold. I also get to observe the everyday life of the people of Sagada, Mt. Province.
5. Echo Valley – where the hanging coffins are located. It's nice learning the ancient practices of the natives there.
6. Kiltepan Rice Terraces – the top of the world view. Spectacular!!! Whew!!!
7. Orange Farm – actual picking of oranges and the very nice flowers in there. For a moment I felt like I am a haciendera. Hahaha!!!

My legs still hurt from all the walking. And it's not just any ordinary walking, it's mountain trekking baby. But the equation is (equation again?): the more effort, the more reward when it comes to view. Yes, effort is directly proportional to the reward. Hahaha!!

More pictures and stories soon. Let me sleep for now. ;-)

No Diet

I'm loosing weight. And I'm worried. Wahaha!!! Hypocrite!! :P After body jam on a Wednesday (the launch of the new version which we didn't like if I may add), Joy, Cathy and JT had dinner @ Teriyaki Boy in Promenade, GH.
The outfit - that's always out of fit. Hahaha!!!
Let me talk about the picture above. Well there's our videoke speakers behind me, a rag somewhere down to your left and yeah our house that's being repaired. So overall, it's a pretty much sh*tty photo. LOLS!!

Kidding aside, I love the coat and the ways I can reinvent the look. Ü Why oh why haven't I discovered the wonders of trench coats before?? Answer: Coz nice clothes in your first job will always be hidden under smocks in the production floor. :P

Currently: On a group tour from Banaue - Sagada. I'll see y'all on Monday. :) Have a blessed weekend. XOXO.

I'm Moving

From American to Korean to a French-German. I’m pretty sure you already have an idea of what I’m talking about. Yesterday I just signed the papers for my new company. Yes, I’m moving. Reminiscent of JR’s last words in the teambuilding, Sir Rommel bantered that I am following his advice on pursuing modeling. How I wish!! Haha!!

You know what they say when it comes to relationships? Something about people who are ecstatically happy in their relationships do not cheat. I guess the same could be said when it comes to this shift. Awww shucks what a lame comparison. Then an opportunity rarely comes along so you just have to seize it. :P Wait a sec, now why do I feel like I’m answering an interview question about why I’m leaving a company. Haha!! Not that I would answer it like I said above. Hehe.

Well if there’s one thing I truly appreciated here in my current job, it’s how my eyes were opened to the wonderful world of sales and marketing. :) Funny how I just wanted to teach in the university when I was still studying, got myself involved in technical jobs and now wished that I took a degree on marketing. But still, I want to take a stab on teaching someday. :) Jack of all trades eh?? Haha!!

Anyways, just a little something about my new job. Working from home while I report to the HQ in SG is such a new concept. To others it sounds surreal and yes it would be very ideal for working moms. But you know me, I still like getting all dressed up and parading my clothes around so thanks to frequent visits to clients for that. :P Still, I can’t resist the thought of getting longer hours of sleep (Zzzzz!!!) and the comfort of not having to soldier the commute to and from the office coz I swear traveling to and from our area is the b*tch.

Of course I’ve lotsa things to miss here in the office and I’ll make sure to make a bulleted post about that someday. The events being one of them, haha!! :P Well, I still have one month to cherish them. Okay, that’s all for now. I still have a lot of pending posts and it’s all because I’m waiting for the pictures. I also have an upcoming Northern trip this weekend but I promise to come up with something on Friday. :)

I don’t want to say goodbye to Samsung yet but as early as now I already like to say hello to my new one. So hello S.O. – as in significant other. Haha!! Maybe it’s the reason why the date didn’t work out last week. Coz a new career and a new lovelife seems like too much for now. Anyway, what was my working equation again?? That C is inversely proportional to L?? Yeah I’ll make sure to remember that. Damn!! :P

Dating Scene

I can’t recall the last time I was this pressured in getting dressed up. Granted, a lot of people praised me for my sense of fashion but still it’s different when you’re doing it for someone. Adding to that is the extra heel I need to put on so that I can somehow match his long and lanky frame.

Also, I can’t recall the last time I told a white lie to my Mum as to who I’m going out with. I said I’m going out with Mark (the friend who arrived from Saudi). Shucks!! Well I just didn’t see the point of telling her the truth if nothing’s certain yet. =P

Which seemed to be the right thing to do. In each passing hour that I was getting to know him, the discrepancies emerged. And there's only once conclusion to this: he’s way out of my league. (Lisa gurl this is what you call mind-conditioning. =P) But that doesn't mean I didn’t enjoy every second of it.

So while the topdown ride was ultra cool (geese, I didn’t know how his almost six feet frame fit into that mini car of his ;-), that wasn’t the highlight of the “date”. It’s nice finding someone who also has that wide vocabulary when it comes to music. :) He made me sing in the car to songs he guessed I didn’t know. :P And yes it was kind of romantic playing that “Be My Lady” by Martin M on the way home. *sigh* But then again, a pet peeve is a pet peeve. :P

It might never happen again. So what can I say?? It was fun while it lasted. :)

Now onto more fun,

So, time to concentrate on the other guy. Hahaha!!! No point being sore. There’s a whole spectrum of men out there. :P Now why do I have this feeling I’m gonna regret these words someday??? Wahaha!!! :D

These Seldom Happen

Gadgets Magazine. Events section. Page 92-93. Where's KC?? Where's KC?? Hahaha!!!
Finally in somehow a glossy paper. Although not really all about fashion. :P

2 days ago, I, Angela and Joy had lunch at Chef d Angelo. What's so unusual??? MY TREAT!!! :P What's the occasion?? Secret for now. =P They didn't appreciate this bistro before coz they were ordering the wrong foods. But after presenting to them their piece de resistance, I'm quite sure they'll come back here on their own. This portion of the post is simply called, the CHEESECAKE ATTACK!!! Yeah, with my mouth hanging open quite unattractively. Hahaha!!!

KC's very unusual (haha!!) treat @ Chef d Angelo

Lastly, a group dinner with my Fitness First friends last night @ Chili's Greenhills. Having a hint now on the secret???? ;-) This certainly doesn't happen everyday. It's also my first time to try that restau and golly everything served on the table was glorious.

Mike, Brian, Jun, Lucille, Geoff; Me, Cathy, Charm and Tita

Well, I do acknowledge there were a lot of eating (AGAIN!!!). But don't worry coz KC's not gonna do anything silly again. I mean no swimming again from 9 PM to 5 AM.. =P

It's early also to say, but I met someone last night. Someone.....oops, my lips will be sealed for now. =P

Coat and Cincher Girl

Last week's theme.

Monday:

Wednesday:

Friday:
Friday was actually quite eventful. In the afternoon, we had lunch with our HQ head in a Filipino restaurant (Bangus), conducted Omnia tutorial in the afternoon in Makati and had a concert late at night at Eastwood for the launching of our Samsung Fun Club site. After which, our department head invited us for a late dinner at Seafood Islands where I once again had seafood overload with the bassist and drummer of Parokya ni Edgar. We finished around 1 AM of Saturday.

Come Saturday, I had plans with my friend Mark (thanks for the perfume!! ;) who is having a vacation here after woring for 3 years in Saudia Arabia and my college friends. We rented a private resort somewhere in Pansol Laguna so we can catch up with each other's lives. With all the eating lately (not to mention the Korean dinner on Thursday night and waived gym on a Friday), I thought that it would do me good to have an extended swimming in the pool for work-out plus the fact that it was so much fun again with Bong's underwater cam. If my memory serves me right, I was in the pool from 9 PM til 5 AM. The aftermath?? I was on sick leave today. Silly KC, silly!!

Clockwise: (a) with Angela in Minato (Thurs night) (b) with Joy in Seafood Island (c) with Mark in Pansol (d) Joy, Angela and I @ Eastwood (concert)

Samsung Ultimate race Gallery # 3: 5th - 8th Pit Stops

Pure statement of facts. That’s all I can afford for now. Allow me to continue with the 3rd gallery of the Samsung Ultimate Race.

5th stop: M café at Greenbelt. This is where we’re supposed to have lunch and you can tell from the pics if we had any. =P Gamemaster Vince Hizon will give the instructions before you enter the bistro. A memory card will be given that has a quite long video (in DivX format) of the phone and it contains the clue to the next stop. But before we leave, we have to take a Mosaic shot with the fountain in the background.

6th stop: Samsung concept shop in Glorietta. Using the TV-out function of the phone, one member of the team must play Asphalt 4 in a big screen and then print out the pictures taken from the previous pit stops using the Pictbridge feature of the phone.

7th stop: Back to McKinley. One member must do a long board for atleast 10 seconds while the other members must video record it and save it into the memory card. The card will be submitted after to the assigned marshall.

8th stop: Blue Leaf in McKinley. Using the printed photos in the concept shop, the team must find the materials to be used for the collage somewhere inside the restaurant. End of race. =D

Pictures can be viewed here. I still owe you the stories. Will find time for it. ;-)

Invitation:

If you guys are free, I would like to invite you to a concert of Parokya ni Edgar later at 9 PM in Eastwood. This will be for the launch of our Samsung Fun Club. :) Absobloodylutely no tickets!! :D See you all there. :D

Pretty hectic weekend ahead of me. I hope you also have nice plans for relaxation. =)

Change Management Workshop

Picturesque. I think that word best describes the place I’ve been to last week. It’s a very beautiful resort that’s just 90 minutes away from Manila, Punta de Fabian resort in Baras, Rizal. It’s quite amazing how a place that’s just so near the city looks that “preserved”.

I belonged to the 3rd and last batch of the participants from our company. It’s nice to be grouped with my closest girl Angela. Ü We didn’t get to take that much pictures around because of the jampacked activities for the 1.5 days we stayed there. The 1st and 2nd batch had this military secret on what they did but it was for certain that we should come dressed in “rags” because of the heavy outdoor activities. =P

The outdoor activities for Friday finished at around 9 PM but all in all we finished about 3 AM in the morning. I woke up 6 AM to squeeze in a li’l workout in the pool before we resume at 8:30 AM. I miss swimming. =P

The workshop was entitled Change Management for the Business Environment and tackled something about adapting to the inevitable changes everywhere. Granted, it’s a seminar provided to the company but the realizations can be applied to almost every aspect of one’s life. Highlights of the workshop are:

1. Fun, fun, fun outdoor activities that tested my leadership skills.
2. Funny how just simple holding hands activities can make you develop a crush for someone. Hmm, I must say the admiration is there to begin with but it was just denied because the guy is already taken. And we’re not just talking about taken “in a relationship status” here, it’s taken “with a ring” here. Hehehe. BUT, don’t you worry; it’s your quintessential good girl here. Yup, not doing anything about that. Let me remind you that I’m the least fatale of all women. It’s just nice having some new inspiration in the office, work has been lackluster lately. :P
3. The emotional Saturday gave me time to really know most of the persons in the office. I’ve new mommies and daddies, hehehe. I just hope that it wasn’t too late for the bonding, but nevertheless I was grateful for the chanc to know these hardworking individuals. (Hint, hint). :P
4. Most memorable of all was the last words of the facilitator named JR. It was the end of the workshop and I was about to walk out of the hall when he called after me. I approached him and he said “Iha, wag ka nang magtrabaho sa Samsung.” (Don’t work for Samsung anymore.) Ok, I was like huh?? Why is he saying this to me?? He’s the facilitator of this workshop and he must convince everybody to stay because hey I know it’s one reason for the teambuilding activities so what the heck is he saying to me?? I replied, “Bakit po?” (Why?) to which he replied “Mag-model ka na lang.” (Be a model). Yay!! Yay!! Yay!!

Come and visit their resort. Of all the things there, I was impressed with the service. 3 AM when we finished the activities and you can still find their staffs around helping you with your things, escorting you to your room, assisting you with your needs, etc. You can visit their website here.

Meet the Parents :)

Chek made her first family appearance last night in a dinner courtesy of Lem. Yezz, finally his treat!! Hahaha!! We had seafoods galore @ Claire dela Fuente's restaurant along Roxas Boulevard.

Hmm, I'd rather she came in a more conservative outfit =P. Oh well, she's in the modeling industry.

As of this writing, the two are currently on board to HK. :) Safe trip. :D

Samsung Ultimate Race Gallery #2: 1st to 4th Pit Stops

Ready, Set, Go!!!! Although we were advised to leave the Conservatory Hall with as much grace as possible, everybody was too much "game" and "eager" to mind the throng of diners down the lounge of the Peninsula Manila. Hmm, I wonder if we scared them off. Imagine the sight, 32 people dressed in black hurrying down the stairs straight out of the hotel. Remember the last disaster on that hotel?? Hehe. Outside we found the van that will take us to our destinations, Toyota Innova. Wow, it really matches the phone right?? Hehehe.

So the clue to the 1st destination was already given in the hotel. It's a recreational park named after an old king and the area faces the sea. Of course even if the instructions said we are to use the phone's GPS, everybody's too smart to know that it's the Rajah Sulayman Park along Roxas Boulevard. And I believe that the 1st thing everybody contemplated upon diving inside their respective vans is much the same as what we mulled over: the less traffic-infested way to get there faster than anyone else. =P

Btw, I told you before that we went through all the pit stops two days prior to the event. Yes we're part of the team but we're not supposed to help them in any other way besides some technical problems on the phone (which is less likely to occur of course ;-). Actually even assisting them on the phone wasn't allowed since they were given a brief tutorial during breakfast. So, the gallery will give you proofs if we cheated or not. Hahaha!!

I decided to split the pit stops into two separate posts since I don't have that ample time to finish them all. ^^ Still have our company activity later on. Here are the 1st - 4th pit stops and a short explanation of the feature of the phone that will be highlighted on the task per pit stop. Clues to the next destination will only be sent via Bluetooth by the assigned marshalls once you presented to them whatever the task it is that you finished.

1st stop: Rajah Sulayman Park along Roxas Boulevard. Use the auto-panorama feature of the phone by taking 8 shots of the view. In using auto-panorama, you don't have to position the phone from the end of the last shot you took. You just have to glide the phone to the right and it will take and stitch the shots for you. ;-)

2nd stop: P. Taylo Street in Makati. There we will visit the Samsung Fun Club site using the phone's 3G connection. Under a certain tab we are to look for the Wushu procedures and imitate one of those. Of course, it will be evidenced by a shot using the 8 Megapixel camera of the phone.

3rd stop: Power-Up Silvercity in Tiendesitas. Wall-climbing!! Grab a flag that can be found at the top of the wall and take a picture of it using the Smart Reader of the phone. Smart Reader is an application of the phone where you can just take shot of a person's calling card, recognizes it and automatically saved the contacts, email address, fax on to your phonebook. ;-)

4th stop: Philippine Army Headquarters at McKinley Taguig. We are to witness the smile shot and frame shot of the camera. Smile shot is one feature of the phone wherein it automatically takes a shot of your subject once it detects a smile from him or her. You can try it by frowning first and once you smile, it will take it for you without you pressing the shutter. I mean, yeah that's the meaning of automatic right?? Hahaha!!

I'll take about the next 4 stops next time. Those are just some of the phone's features for you. Did I hear you're impressed already?? Haha!! More to come. And for those of you who are familiar with the locations, I believe you'll come to the conclusion that the 1st half of the race is already exhausting. Hehehe. But it was a lot fun!! I hope I can get to share my personal experience some other time. :)

Lots of action (running, rain, hotness) HERE!! Okay guys, just help yourself. :)

Talk About Exposure

Manila Bulletin, Events Section (D-4), September 30. ^^ Hahaha!!! See?? I told you so!!! Hahaha!!! I think this is my 2nd time in this newspaper. Hehehe.

What??? I should've told you earlier so you could've bought your own copies?? Awww, stop it guys you're making me blush. Hahaha!!! Just kidding. ^^

Anyways, there's another one I think for a magazine. ^^ You know what, these papers can just show you the pictures and everything, talk endlessly about the phone but they cannot relate to you the whole happening especially the "twist" in the end of the race which can only come from "yours truly". Hehehe. Or maybe Carlo will do the same also, in his magazine. Hehe.

P.S. Today is a non-working holiday here in the Phils. But what good does it offer when it's all wet and raining hard outside?? Not only that, here I am in my room enduring this pesky cough barking like a dog all the time. *Sigh* So here I am typing away in my laptop and later will join my parents downstairs for a videoke session. Ohh, ggggggggrrrrrreeeeeaaaaaaatttt!!! Expect more rain, Manila!! Haha!!! I'll see you all again on Friday and hopefully I'm feeling well by that time to join our company's teambuilding. ;-)
