The Ex Reflex

I was blog-hoppin' the other day when I came upon this very interesting lady blogger and decided to re-post one of her works. I can totally relate to her that's why..

I can't help but think of an ex. The One that haunts my dreams. I wouldn't exaggerate if I dare call him "The One That Got Away." Heavy huh? Yes, I was hopelessly swept off my feet with this one. The typical "eligible bachelor" of Manila's sin City. But being true to my nature, I was on self-destruct mode within the last few months we were together. I guess I can't blame him for giving up. I didn't know how to battle my demons then. I was young, "living the life" and didn't know when to step on the brakes. As it turns out, I went straight ahead and ended that path with a head-on collision. The damage? My heart broken to a million pieces. The surgeon is still looking for a way to put all of it back together so it can function normally.

I didn't know any better. And if I could turn back time, I would make it up to him. But in a city where every other girl is almost a model, of course he found a pretty face to keep him company almost instantaneously. It hurt my ego and so I let him go. To this day, I think of him still. I dissect the whole relationship and try to take comfort in his flaws. When that doesn't help (it usually doesn't), I think of ways on how I can just erase him from memory. But after 3 years of my mind easily drifting back to his handsome face, well. You can imagine I'm in for a battle. To the point wherein I think it's already a reflex reaction for me to think of him. Lonely night... check. No one to talk to... check. Reminiscing happy days? Check. There you have it. The EX REFLEX. It doesn't help that we're friends and I text him still. Even though I've already had another boyfriend since that ex (we broke up already though), I still find his voice soothing to my ears. So yes I am guilty of drunk dialing too. And how convenient for me that he's still single and he still entertains me. Somebody shoot meh! Please.

Come on girls, aren't we all at times guilty on this? ;)

My Type of Guy

Ok! I’ve been single for almost 3 yrs now (am I really supposed to count that? ;)
As always, 1st reaction upon hearing is “ Tlg? Bka nman kasi pihikan ka.”

Well that statement is fine with me. But what I hate the most is when guys question it as if I’m hiding someone just to make myself available to them. Grr!! Spare me! Yet somehow I can’t blame them if they find this drop-dead gorgeous chic so oblivious to other guys. It's simply unexplainable. Wahaha, just kidding! =)

Lately, some guys keep appearing in my dreams. I hope it’s a premonition that I will soon find him. Wehehe.
Bu to give you an idea of what I look for in a guy, here's a list of talented guys that are currently making my heart wild with frantic everytime I see them (on screen and in person). :)

1. Vhong Navarro – Yup, heard it right! Every girl loves a guy who can make them laugh right? But my major turn on in him is his killer dance moves. I loved his recent performance in ASAP ’07 when he performed the dance evolution. I haven’t met him in person but according to my friend he’s so mabango. Gosh! Btw, I also like the way he dresses up.
Foreign counterpart: Vaness Wu and Rain; Justin T and AJ of BSB.

2. Ronnie Liang of PDA – Maybe he’s not that familiar for some of you. But he has a golden voice for singing mellow songs. I like his height but in general, it’s his body build. Yummy! Haha! You should have seen him perform the “Macho Gwapito” wearing a black sando in one of PDA’s Gala Night. He’s not that good when it comes to dancing but I kinda liked his sort of “trying hard” effort to dance. ;) He also has a good personality I can tell.

3. Yael Yuzon of Spongecola – I now love rockers! Yeah! They make me feel dumb because it's hard to tell what’s going on in their minds. Hehe.. He’s not that tall but he’s really cute. Imagine a guy playing the guitar serenading you with Crazy For You! It will drive me crazy. =P

4. WBCT – Oops, have to keep it secret! Step back to reality. He was my friend’s love match to me here in the office ‘coz we thought he just graduated from the university. Yeah, he doesn’t look like an IT manager and already in his early 30’s. But at such a young age, he has already accomplished so much. What a genius! (I have this feeling that he was a geek way back in college.=P) Whatever, he’s definitely the marrying type of guy. =P =P =P He’s also the best when it comes to dressing up. I think I fell for his broad shoulders and muscled arms when I was seated beside him in the shuttle bus. =P A Chinese, one of the race I would want to share my genes with. Haha! =D He’s also hot in the basketball court. He’s my everything. Haaayy…Too bad, he just got married last quarter. =(

God! With all those qualities mentioned? I think I'm doomed to singlehood. Don't cha? =))

What's New?

Well, I just got my Starbucks Planner last Friday! Yehey! I’m not really much of a planner person. I started owning organizer when I was in 1st year college and it mostly contained only my day-today happenings. For this one, I’ll try my best to instill discipline and complete my assigned tasks for the day. Promise! :)

Also, I just got my Motorola V3x 3G phone in hot pink shade! So gurly and so much inspired by Ann Curtis’ in MSKM..hehe! I just really love the clamshell/ flip-phone type. It’s for a change naman. ;) I will really take care of it from now on. Promise! :)

The Bench Fever

Though we had the opportunity to watch it live since my brother is one of the models, the remoteness of our workplace didn’t allow us to do so. I got the chance to watch it yesterday and the only word I uttered was “Oooh-La-La”. Wahaha! The most Oooh-lala part was Wendell’s Superman Trunks. My golly, he was wearing a T-back! Haha! (Very naughty of me! =>) According to my friend, that was his usual outfit for the past years but it was my first time so I was really shocked!

‘Twas really a hotta hotta fashion show. My brother got to ramp twice, one was wearing the sporty and next was for the Victorian theme. (His pic posted below.) I’m so envious of those gurls bods. Gosh, I’ll give anything just to have ‘em. ;) It was my long dream to do that kind of stuff.

Well, it’s good timing that I watched it just this recent. Kinda reminds me to work on my diet and shape up for the coming summer so I can flash in those bikinis. Yeah baby yeah! =))

For The Love of Mangoes

I’m so happy ‘coz it’s now the season of mangoes. Monday night it was. I was walking along Divi going to my next ride home when I saw a stall selling this fruit. There were a lot actually. But that one’s just really mouth-watering ‘coz it’s already peeled off and looks so yummy. So just like a pregnant woman longing for something to eat, I approached the store to buy. In my excitement, I ate it while I'm still walking. I forgot the fact that I just had an espresso a while ago to relieve my headache and eating that might make my stomach rumble. Aboard the jeepney, how I enjoyed the envious looks on my co-passenger’s eyes as I continuously gobble up my delectable crop. =P After eating, I didn’t notice the fruit’s juice has already dripped off my bag and straight onto my pants. Haha!! What an experience for a first taste of mango this year! =)

Ah bsta, I better get those fish pastes ready. I believe one weekend when I will come home and see a bunch of ‘em stored on the dining table. =)

The Princess Hours Addiction

I'm not that Koreanovela addict but of all those I've seen, this is already the best for me.
Excellent cinematography, exceptional actors and actresses in splendid modern cinderella story.
Even the soundtrack's great. Hats off to everyone involved in producing this magnificent soap.
Truly everything you can wish for in a romantic comedy type koreanovela.

With some friends' referral I got interested in the story even if it hasn’t started yet in local TV.
And after finishing it last week, I can now understand why there’s so addicted to it.
Coz right up to now, I’m so not over with this obsession. As a proof, I spent this recent weekend creating movie flicks using of course its OST.

2007 Wishlist

Here are some of the things I would like to accomplish. Not really for this year though it would be better if they will all happen. :)

1. Collect all small breed of dogs.
2. Swim with a dolphin or watch them in Subic.
3. Visit waterworld in Singapore.
4. Drive my own Jazzy car.
5. Have a baby to take care of me..;-)
6. Travel (out of the country)
7. Probably a new career ={
8. Summer outing with girlfriends (Puerto or Bora would do) or a Baguio with friends.
9. A concert (maybe a Valentine) or watch ASAP live
10. A master's degree (CS or IT)
11. Learn ice-skating

December Get Together

Our barkadas do this annually just to catch up with each other's lives before the year ends. This year was held in Dampa somewhere in Macapagal near Blue Wave and MOA. Present in the gathering are of course Xiela & Mac, Joann & GB, Plokie, Bong, Ruth, Ali, Lot and Me.

Special thanks to Bert for providing us with the food (hehe!). His presence is still felt even if he's overseas as well as Mark who called us that night. We terribly miss you guys as well as those we missed in the party due to some reasons. I'm looking forward to another event like this this year.
